BUSINESS SERIES PRODUCT DATA Model: WAP2000 Wireless-G Access Point with Power over Ethernet RangeBooster Wireless Access Point Solution The WAP2000 is a Wireless Access Point ideal for small businesses that want to expand their existing wired networks or create new wireless networks for the workforce or guests. It features RangeBooster technology that is compatible to standard 802.11g but with a range up to two times farther and throughput by up to 35% faster. Unlike ordinary wireless technologies that are hampered by wireless signals that reflect off walls, ceilings, and other objects, RangeBooster uses these multiple signals with two smart receivers at each end (router or access point and client adapter) to boost range and throughput speeds. As a result, a RangeBooster solution reduces or eliminates wireless signal deadspots in offices and other buildings so users can connect to the network in more areas. The WAP2000 comes with 3 dBi antennas for increased power, also helping to extend the range of the Access Point. Advanced security features like Wi-Fi Protected Access™ (WPA2 Enterprise), make this solution ideal for your business. Integrated Quality of Service (QoS) features provide consistent voice and video quality on both the wired and wireless networks, enabling your workforce to communicate or view video content without disruptions and delay. The WAP2000 can be powered from its included AC adapter or from a Power over Ethernet (PoE) Switch via Ethernet cabling enabling mounting in ceilings or high on walls where power outlets may not be available. Additional features like Multiple BSSIDs, Wireless Roaming, Auto-Channel Selection, and Load Balancing give your business added flexibility to keep employees and guests connected. The WAP2000 also features dual firmware images so it remains functional if a firmware upgrade process is disrupted. Linksys Business Series WAP2000 Access Point is Linksys One Ready. That means it includes the necessary firmware to be seamlessly integrated into a Linksys One data or data/voice network. Once connected, a Linksys One Service Router will discover the WAP2000 device, automatically configure it and make it available to other users on the network. Linksys One technology is automatic and self-configuring. Standards-based PoE (IEEE 802.3af ) or External DC power RangeBooster technology for up to twice the range, reduced dead spots, and up to 35% more throughput than standard 802.11g. Advanced wireless security using Wi-Fi Protected Access™ (WPA2) with up to 256-bit encryption and Support for WMM provides improved QoS over wireless connections for better video and voice performance. Linksys One Ready for instant integration into a Linksys One network. WAP2000

Wireless-G Access Point with Power over Ethernet

RangeBooster Wireless Access Point SolutionThe WAP2000 is a Wireless Access Point ideal for small businesses that want to expand their existing wired networks or create new wireless networks for the workforce or guests.

Standards-based PoE (IEEE 802.3af ) or External DC power

RangeBooster technology for up to twice the range, reduced dead spots, and up to 35% more throughput than standard 802.11g.

Advanced wireless security using Wi-Fi Protected Access™ (WPA2) with up to 256-bit encryption and Support for WMM provides improved QoS over wireless connections for better video and voice performance.
