Raichuru can be traced back to 3rd Century BC. It has been under the rule of theSatavahanas, Chalukyas of Badami, Cholas, Vijayanagara Empire. Raichurawas a part of the Nizam of Hyderabad’s rule and was a part of the HyderabadState till the re-organisation of State on 1st November 1956.
