Project Description:

HDFC Bank is headquartered in Mumbai. The Bank has a network of 3460 branches in 2000 cities across India. All branches are linked on an online real-time basis. Customers in over 3000+ locations are also serviced through Telephone Banking. The Bank’s expansion plans take into account the need to have a presence in all major industrial and commercial centres, where its corporate customers are located, as well as the need to build a strong retail customer base for both deposits and loan products. The Bank also has a network of 11088 ATMs across India. HDFC Bank operates in a highly automated

environment in terms of information technology and communication systems. All the bank’s branches have online connectivity, which enables the bank to offer speedy funds transfer facilities to its customers. Multi-branch access is also provided to retail customers through the branch network and

Automated Teller Machines (ATMs). In terms of core banking software,the Retail Banking business is currently supported by Flexcube and Finware, both from i-flex Solutions Ltd(OFSS).

Responsibilities :

Identifying the root cause of incidents in order to prevent future recurrence.

Handling and monitoring NEFT and RTGS issues Transactions.

Incident management for the applications.

Query integration as per requirement from business and as well writing/modifying shell scripts.

Coordinate with vendors/BPRG for problem resolution and follow ups.

Ensure that all team members/Vendors (Technical analysts or Programmers) perform the delegated tasks according to set timelines.

Monitoring space utilization and blockings in production database with help of alias created by Application Owners and DBA, escalating to them if space decreases rapidly or more blocking arises.

Creating and executing database patches in production in batch runs with the support of Vendor.

Project Description:

Finware is the core banking application used by HDFC Bank to service its Retail Banking Customers. All savings and current accounts are created in Finware .Users at branches need access to Finware application for all retail banking application. HDFC Bank uses Finware applications for new customer enrolments, store customer data, record the financial transactions carried out by customers, maintain the account balance and provide reporting services. Finware provides account summary on request from internet banking application. By EOD, database reports are generated and update taken from interfacing applications.

Responsibilities :

Liaise with vendor to ensure production issues are resolved and fixes/patches are implemented successfully.

Writing or modifying shell scripts. Query integration in production as per requirement from business.

Checking alert log and trace files on daily basis.
