Introduction

• This PowerPoint presentation is intended to provide all attendees of the weekend with an outline of the weekend, it’s planned events and all other relevant details.

• Further information can be found via the website links posted on the different slides.

Location

• As you know, the weekend will take place in the lovely City of Manchester. Due to the local attractions and best night-life, the Hotel we stay in will be located at Manchester City Centre specifically, as to avoid any long journeys.

• Most local attractions are within a mile of the Hotel giving chance to stretch our legs, but not spend all day walking places.

Hotel - ‘ - ‘Manchester Central’

• Conveniently located in the heart of Manchester city centre, opposite Manchester Central Convention Complex (formerly Gmex) and within walking distance of Bridgewater Hall, Town Hall, Oxford St, Deansgate and city centre shops bars and restaurants.

• Our Manchester Central Premier Inn has everything you'd expect and also boasts a Costa coffee shop, Touchbase business centre with free to use business lounge, free use of the Fitness First Health Club within the hotel and an onsite Table Table restaurant for a fresh new twist on eating out.

Transport • Transport there and back will be

on the train, going from Leyland Railway Station to Deansgate Railway Station in Manchester and vice versa for the way back obviously.

• Transport around Manchester City Centre is most likely going to be walking as many attractions are in the immediate vicinity to the Hotel.

Costs• The cost for 6 people for 2 nights in 3 double

or twin rooms works out at £33.75 each per night, that’s £67.50 for the weekend.

• Due to the expensive prices charged for , it makes more sense to get breakfast out rather than forking out at extra £22 just for breakfast!

• In addition, the train tickets which can be pre-ordered, you can either order via me, or can purchase yourself. Tickets work out at just under £17 -

• Total fixed costs will be easily paid for with £85 (rounded up) and obviously, extra spending money must be brought for shopping, food and drink, night’s out, day time attractions and such expenses.

Sleeping Arrangements

• After speaking to numerous people and doing the maths, it works out best that the current 6 people going of us split into 3 rooms of 2.

• I have already spoken to all of you regarding the arrangements and it has been agreed who is sleeping in which rooms.

• Keys/key cards and room numbers to be confirmed on the day.

Travel Times• Best to leave early on the Friday

to get the most out of the day, and to give us plenty of time to acclimatise and get settled in.

• As we are getting the train, and have nowhere to stay until check-in time at the Hotel, we will confirm train times after we have booked the hotel and found out what time we can check in at so we’re not stranded with all our kit.
