• 4 – 18-8 SS M5 x 16 mm Button Head Cap Screws w/ neoprene washers • 4 – 18-8 SS M5 x 20 mm Button Head Cap Screws w/ neoprene washers • 4 – Neoprene SS Sealing Washers, and flat washers • 4 – Compression well nuts M5 • 4 – SS M5 lock nuts • 1 – #3 Hex Key • 2 – R1200RT Mirror Mounts • 1 – 7/16” Spade Bit

Ensure the motorcycle is placed on the center stand (Please read entire Installation document before proceeding)

Remove Mirrors: Stand facing mirrors, grab with both hands, and pull toward back of RT. Mirrors will release.

Remove the Side Panels: 1 Torx near speaker, 1 Torx at knee position, 2 Torx inside front wheel cowl

After screws are removed from both left and right side body panels as pictures show (page 2), with fingers lift out the speaker cover while rotating panel to the left. When you reach the position in center picture (page 2) push panel forward to release front of panel from its placement inside the front wheel cowl. At this point the panel is free. If you have the BMW radio kit you will have wiring that will be attached to left panel. Simply let it hang to the side as in picture 3 (page 2). Right Panel is removed in same fashion and will not have any wiring attached. Upon completion of Mirror Mount installation you will replace panels in reverse order.

Install Mirror Mounts:

Place mirror mount fitting tight to left corner. Oval opening will fit over oval in black plastic. With pencil trace circle of 2 screw holes.

Center Spade bit with the pencil scribed hole locations. Spin drill at medium speed to open a 7/16” hole. Be careful not to go too deep inside drilled opening. Try to pass thru and withdraw quickly.Next push one rubber well nut thru each hole opening. Finish by screwing one of the M5 x 20 mm SS screws with neoprene washers into each bracket hole. Tighten snuggly.

Mount accessory light to BMR Mounts. You may also mount lights after panels are replaced. of 3

Assuming you have done all of the pre-wiring of your wiring harness for your accessory lighting set you should run the terminals across the top of the speaker cover as shown in picture at right. Extend wiring an additional 6 in. to couple with mounted light. DuelLock tabs are provided to hide wiring harness neatly under mirrors.
