General ProgrammePurpose of the School. The Joint AIRAPT-25th & EHPRG-53rd Conference proposes to combine the proper conference itself with a school held during the three previous days of the international meeting. This Summer Under Pressure School (SUPSS) will act to highlight the different topics of the conference. It will provide to students and newcomers with a good level of background knowledge in the field of high pressure to become familiar with some of the basic ideas of multidisciplinary topics in an academic environment and therefore increase the participation and exchange of scientific ideas during the school and the conference.

Overview. For many young researchers this school will be a unique opportunity to review recent, ongoing and future activities through a series of thematic and overview lectures. The attendees will discover new hot topics and will deepen in a series of different fields such as chemistry, physics, materials science, geophysics or biosciences.

Organizers:· J. Manuel Recio, Universidad de Oviedo, Oviedo, Spain· David Abassi Pérez, Universidad de Oviedo, Oviedo, Spain· Hector E. Lorenzana, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Livermore, USA

Lecturers. Lectures will be held by international research-ers experts in the field, coming from different countries.
