Q. Which ideas will be valid for the contest?

Ans. All ideas submitted that are filed as patents after 1st April of the current year are valid for this contest.

Q. What are the parameters for selection through IPM?

Ans. Each candidate’s score will be calculated on below parameter:

- Maximum Patents Filed & Granted

((The idea should be filed as a patent after the idea has been submitted and forwarded by the patent LOB Spoc to the legal Spoc for filing)

Q. Can I enter multiple ideas in IPM?

Ans. Yes, there can be multiple ideas that you can submit for patent filing via IPM.

Q. Can I enter names of co-generators who helped in the idea?

Ans. Co-inventor details will be required from Round 2 onwards as the ‘Ideapreneur team’.

*Candid*Candidate can enter names of other HCL employees in Round 2 who helped/ mentored in ideation or sub-mission of the idea. This will help in recognizing the team effort (if any) behind the idea.

Q. Can a co-inventor of an idea, participate individually in the contest with the same idea?

Ans. Yes, a co-inventor can participate individually in the contest with the same idea. The participation will not affect the inventor’s score.
