Who would your audience be for your media product?

My Target Audience

My target audience is aimed at both genders in the age range of 16-30. It is based off the two genres Indie and Rock. I think that this was a good idea as you don’t see many magazines that appeal to both genders and have the age range that I focus on, and that feature these two genres together.

This person suits the audience that I based my magazine around, as the clothes hat he is wearing indicate that he is interested in the Indie genre.

He also looks around the age of 25, which is in the age range of my target audience, which is 16-30.

I think that this person’s style of clothing also represents what I aimed for from my target audience. His clothes connote that he has more of a serious and rock themed look. His clothes also suggest that he is in a Rock band, so people will more or less copy his style of clothing, and will pick up any kind of magazine that has someone that looks like him on the cover. This is what I look to show on my magazine. He is also between the ages of 22-25, so he fits my target audience.

My magazine would also appeal to this person. You can clearly see that she is wearing the typical “Indie” clothes, which connotes that she is a fan of the music. She can be seen as a stereotype of what someone would define as a teenage “Indie” fan. She is around 18 years old, which is one of the main ages that my magazine focuses on.

This person fits my target audience. The clothes that he is wearing connote that he is a big fan of the Indie genre, as this is what most people in Indie bands dress like. He would be seen as a stereotype of what someone would define someone else as “Indie.” He looks between the ages of 20-25, and is male, so he would be someone my magazine would appeal to.

This person also suits my target audience as he has the Indie fan look. This person isn’t exactly a stereotypical “Indie” fan, as it is a rarity that you would find someone of his age dressed like this. He is also much older than the majority of Indie fans, and his age is part of the range that I aimed my magazine at.

This person also suits the target audience that I aimed my magazine at. Her clothes are a mix of both Rock and Indie styles which are the two genres that my magazine is based around. She looks between the ages of 18-22, so she fits in with the main ages that I aimed my magazine towards.
