The CIOB Queen Elizabeth II (QEII) Jubilee Fund Award is awarded at the discretion of the CIOB accredited educational institution to an outstanding graduate, who has contributed to their advancement and progression in pursuing a bachelor’s degree.

Each accredited educational institution will nominate one graduate for the award every year. The award will be presented to the graduate at either the graduation ceremony or a relevant event agreed by the educational institution.

The Award:The award includes a prize of £500 (or equivalent in local currency) and a CIOB certificate.

The award prize is not subject to UK Income Tax, but may be considered taxable income by other countries.

To qualify for the Award, the graduate must be:•A CIOB member when applying

for the Award.• Enrolled at a CIOB accredited

educational institution on a CIOB accredited course for a Bachelor’s degree.

In nominating the graduate, the CIOB accredited educational institution must look for:•Distinction of intellect and character,

as evidenced by their academic attainments and other extra-curricular activities and achievements; or

• Overcoming hardship, disability or other personal adversity;

• A potential to make a significant contribution to their own society;

• Strong motivation and ambition in their career development in the built environment sector

The Application Process:Each CIOB accredited educational institution must complete and submit an application form to the CIOB by late June every year. Email the completed application form to [email protected]

Each application will be checked by the CIOB Scholarship Team. On acceptance of the nomination, the CIOB Head Office will inform the winning graduate and nominator of the result and arrange payment to the award winner. The certificate will be sent to the local CIOB Branch Manager.

Each CIOB Branch will contact the educational institution to arrange the award presentation at the graduation ceremony or at a relevant event.
