QUARTERBACK WEEKLY WORKOUT
I. Warm-up=focus on upper body, high release and follow through
A. One KneeB. Both KneesC. Feet TogetherD. Feet Together raise up on toesE. Wrong ShoulderF. Bounce and ThrowG. Hitch and GatherH. Chop feet and throw= practice the quick game mechanicsI. Throwing Back and ForthJ. Circle Drill
II. Footwork Drills= Go hard! For 30 Seconds each, each have a ball keep ball in loaded position with eyes up
A. Front to BackB. Side to SideC. Skiing D. 180 Degree TurnsE. One foot side to sideF. ¼ TurnsG. 5 Step Drop Partner moves you in pocketH. Quarterback draw, create and shake, run for 20-25 yards
III. Throwing into Blue Screen= Receive a snap every time from partner then go retrieve your own ball from the net.
A. 10-12 yards away throw quick game, chop feet, quick releaseB. 15-20 yards away throw vertical, curl, smash routes into net
(Work up into pocket after getting a solid three step drop)C. 10-15 yards away semi-roll and throw into netD. Partner moves you in pocket and throw
IV. Long TossA. Start out at 15-20 Yards and work back till you cannot get the ball there anymore. Once you get to that point stop and throw 20 throws each. Then work your way back together.
