Quality Plus Management Consulting Co. is a team of experts whoprovide tailored consulting and training services in the field of qualityand process improvement.

BRIEF HISTORY

Quality Plus Management Consulting Co., upon its inception in 2001started with the challenge for its Managing Director, Mr. Henry O. Palaca to start asa freelance consultant for a project with a lighting company in an industrial park inCavite. Through ‘word of mouth’ more projects from new clients came in, one afterthe other. Hence, it was formally established as a legal single proprietorship entityin 2002, registered under the name Q+ MANAGEMENT CONSULTING. It was whenclients drastically increased to over twenty companies from the manufacturing andservice sectors.

While the company continued to grow annually, the owners decided toaggressively market its services. In a span of one year, there was a remarkableincrease in its clientele to over 50 until it finally shifted its form of business into apartnership in August 2007 and expanded its name to QUALITY PLUS MANAGEMENTCONSULTING CO.

The convergence of its pool of consultants and technical staff alongside withtheir expertise, exposure and experiences comes with an innovation in its newimage into a concrete business framework that embraces six major fields ofapproach to industry quality and process improvement. This framework lays out anideal cycle of approach to business process overhauling that starts from

(1) Strategic Planning to(2) People Development, then(3) Process Management alongside with(4) Performance management,(5) Continuous Improvement and(6) Standardization & Control.

Henry O. Palaca is the President & Managing Director of Quality Plus Management Consulting Co.He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Master’s Degree inTechnology Management at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City. He is also aprofessor of Mapua Institute of Technology - School of IE/EMG, handling masteral andundergraduate courses in statistics, quality and productivity.

Henry has been a Management System consultant for over ten years now. He successfullyassisted more than 100 companies in setting up a Quality Management System towards ISO 9001certification. He also helped out companies in their process excellence effort including PilipinasShell Petroleum Corporation, and Alcantara Group’s plywood plant in Davao, agribusiness inGeneral Santos and industrial park in Batangas. He also assisted companies in setting up theirTQM programs including quality circles and self-directed teams.

In the field of training, Henry delivered over 10 various courses in Management System andProcess Improvement to more than 50 companies. Having been an IRCA registered QMS auditor(Ref. # 1181722), he conducted audit to more than 100 companies in a lead auditor or auditorcapacity.

Henry’s passion for quality, productivity and process improvement inspires him to get involved insome training institutions: as a regular guest lecturer of UP Institute for Small Scale Industries (UPISSI), and as one of the key trainers of the Advocate of Philippine Fair Trade, Inc. (APFTI), an NGOthat helps small-scale companies to become globally competitive. He is lecturing on ProductionManagement, TQM and Project Management at the UP ISSI. In APFTI, he is a training partner,being a founding member of Excellent Training Concepts (XTC), APFTI’s training group. He is alsoan active member of Philippine Society for Quality (PSQ), being chair of the Technical ProfessionalDevelopment Committee.

His early days of this career nurtured him to be an expert in this field. He was a formermanagement consultant of Neville-Clarke Philippines. Also, he previously held key positions inManagement System with Mariwasa Ceramics Group of Companies and Splash Group ofCompanies in the development and implementation of their Total Quality Management programs,including ISO 9000 certification.
