PURGE 10 (2015 Version / self- calibrating) The Purge 10 2015 Version Self-‐calibrating Weld Gas Analyser enables the customer to accurately measure the oxygen content in the weld purge environment. It is easy to use and lightweight making it ideal for weld purging on site and in fabricators’ workshops.

PURGE 100 Purge 100 is a top range oxygen monitor for weld purging. It is hermetically sealed, preventing contamination of the inside and the sensor. Purge & Weld Ltd recommends the use of standard purge systems. When customers are welding dairy tubes, schedule pipework and all other kinds of cylindrical vessels when welding with open weld gaps.

These purge systems can be pushed and pulled through pipe lengths without friction or resistance. Once positioned, the product is inflated with inert shielding gas to inflate the dam ends and will then automatically release any excess gas to purge the inside of the pipe between the purge dams.

The standard purge systems ends require a minimum amount of gas to seal inside the pipe. Since the dams isolate a small volume inside the pipe, fabricators immediately begin to use less gas before it is safe to start welding and can demonstrate to their customers they are achieving a lower carbon footprint.

Standard Purge Systems are suitable for purging autogenous weld fit-‐ups as well as scheduled pipework that requires a gap between two bevelled pipe ends.

Standard Purge Systems ensure an airtight seal inside the tubular system so no contamination can occur to the weld during the hot pass and subsequent weld passes. Additionally, once the root pass is completed, flow rates of 5 to 10 lpm can be sufficient for the rest of the weld, which saves argon gas.

Especially insulated heat covered inflatable purge system for purging applications in pre-‐heated pipes can be supplied upon request.

FLEXI PURGE SYSTEMS

• A Flexi Purge System that makes an effective seal for purging across a wide range of pipe diameters. • Unique Glide skin sleeve allows it to be pushed or pulled into the pipe and around any bend. • Can easily be located looking through the root gap using the high intensity luminous strip positioned

in the centre of the system. • Ready to use. Connect to a dedicated and regulated gas supply and choose any flow rate up to 15

liters per minute through the pre-‐set purge valve. • Lightweight and collapsible. • Fabricated with Proban cotton faces with a Neoprene core material. • Central Exhaust System for better external seal, additional hose outlet used for additional gas input.

A recent innovation in the inflatable product range is the flexi purge system (multi-‐size) with central exhaust enabling a perfect circumference seal on the outside of the dam. This is a highly cost effective range of welding that with just 4 systems the welder can cover 14 pipe sizes and the issue of different pipe schedules is no longer a consideration. These Flexi purge systems are also effective for “on the bend” welding where the internal pipe schedule on the curve may differ.

ECO PURGE SYSTEMS

• Reduces volume close to the weld requiring purging • Shields the Weld Root eliminating oxidation • Allows the welder to adjust the purge gas pressure against the weld root to achieve a desired

weld profile on the internal bore • Cuts down on inert shielding gas required • Helps reduce customers’ Carbon Foot Print • Allows customers to increase weld production rates • Reliably eliminates weld defects associated with purging

The Eco Purge system can be used when customers are welding schedule pipework and all other kinds of cylindrical vessels. It is available for pipe diameters ranging from 8” to 80”.

This system can be pushed and pulled through pipe lengths without friction or resistance. Once positioned, the product is filled with inert shielding gas to inflate the dam ends and will then automatically release any excess gas to purge the inside of the pipe between the purge dams. The two purge dams and the connecting sleeve of the Ring Purge system isolate a very small volume around the weld which will significantly reduce the purge time and amount of inert purge gas used. A 24” diameter pipe will usually be purged to an oxygen content of < 0.1 % in under 5 minutes using a Ring Purge weld shielding system. v Also ask for our Multi-‐size Eco purge systems. One system can be used for several pipe diameters

due to new neoprene dam covers and Sentinel technology. Sizes range from 12.5” up to 80”.

SILICONE DISC PURGE PRODUCTS

PURGE-FAST SYSTEMS

The Purge-‐Fast System is a double seal purging system that works in the ranges from 25mm to 320mm.

Purge-‐Fast is easy to pull through pipes and bends without tilting. The design of the system also guarantee that at least one disc holds tight and this will reduce both purging time and inert gas use. Typical purge time is less than 2 minutes (for example an 8” pipe will purge to below 0,01% Oxygen in less than 2 minutes).

Going from the welding of one pipe dimension to another, you simply change the sealing discs on the basic unit. Basic units are available in 3 lenghts, 120 mm, 150 mm and 200 mm. Each basic unit will fit all sizes of the sealing discs. Argo-‐Fast Purge sealing discs can also be used for all of Purge and Weld's other basic units, as well as from some other Manufacturers.

The Silicone Discs are temperature resistant up to 320°C.

PIPE ALIGNMENT PRODUCTS

PURGE WELD ALUMINIUM CLAMP

Due to its unique design, P&W Aluminium Clamp ensures that the clamping forces are evenly spread round the pipe to be welded, because the distance between clamping points are exactly the same. This is true for all pipe dimensions within the range of the P&W Aluminium Clamp (1 to 14 inches).

The adjusting screws have stainless steel balls at their ends. This eliminates the scratching of the objects to be welded, and no corrosion will occur.

The arms are made of casted aluminium which allows a clamping force to meet the requirements for all pipe dimensions within the range of the P&W Aluminium Clamp (27 – 355 mm) and with wall thickness of up to 15 mm.

P&W Aluminium Clamp can be used for the welding of all kinds of materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, super duplex and titanium. The welding of pipe to pipe and pipe to fittings are easily performed with P&W Aluminium Clamp.

PURGE WELD STEEL CLAMP

This series of robust forged Steel Clamps is designed for Pipe to Pipe or Pipe to Fittings. The P&W Steel Clamps are electro galvanized, and assure fast and effective clamping.

The Butterfly Screws are made with Stainless Steel Balls, this eliminates scratching of the object to be welded and corrosion will not occur.

The Clamp is made of sink forged steel. This gives enough clamping force to comply with the demands for all the pipe dimensions within the P&W Steel Clamps range of 25-‐355 mm (1”-‐14”).

P&W Steel Clamp can be used for the welding of steel pipes. Stainless Sleeves can be mounted on the P&W Steel Clamp so it can be used for Stainless Steel, Duplex and other high alloy steel types.

MANUAL SIMGLE CHAIN CLAMP 2500S

Manual Single chain clamp 2500S is an easy tool for clamping pipe to pipe, pipe to bend, pipe to tee or pipe to flange. The low weight make it very easy to operate in the workshop and on site.

These clamps can adjust and align pipes with wall-‐thickness up to 1/2” (12 mm), and has a clamping force of 2500 kg.

The clamps can be used for several pipe dimensions, simply by removing the jack-‐bars. The jack-‐bars are made of stainless steel on all our clamps. 2500S can be used for stainless steel, as only stainless steel is in contact with the pipe.

All clamps can be used for pipe dimensions from 5”.

ADJUSTABLE LENGTH SINGLE CHAIN CLAMP S200 AND D200

HYDRAULIC DOUBLE CHAIN CLAMP

The “easy-‐to-‐handle”, flexible system to be used for pipe-‐to-‐pipe, pipe-‐to-‐bend and pipe-‐totee or flange – align and adjust and ready to weld in less than 10 minutes! The Hydraulic Chain Clamp is the only hydraulic chain clamp in the world which can operate on pipe diameters from 6” (168 mm) to 60” (1524 mm).The HP Clamp is able to align and adjust pipes and fittings with wall thickness up to 1” (25 mm).

To meet the requirements from pipe manufacturers, nuclear, offshore and petrochemical industries, all parts of the Hydraulic Chain Clamp that makes contact with the pipes, are made of stainless steel to avoid markings and contamination on the pipes. The jack-‐bars are adjustable and removable. This makes the Hydraulic Chain Clamp usable on smaller pipe dimensions.

The Hydraulic Chain Clamp consists of:

PW ALUMINIUM PIPE PLUGS

PW Aluminium pipe plugs can be used in many industries including water, gas and drainage industries, food, drink and pharmaceutical industries, construction industry as well as oil and petrochemical industry.

PW Aluminium pipe plugs are the ideal tool for sealing pipes for plumbing operations and to avoid the penetration of debris and other contamination in a pipe. They can also be used as inexpensive purge plugs and for low pressure testing according to British Standards.

The natural rubber seals of the standard aluminium plugs are expanded by tightening a wing nut once the plug has been positioned inside the pipe. This gives a quick and easy seal of pipes from 1 ½” (37.5 mm ) upwards.

All IHPS, non-‐powered as well as powered, are able to: • Reform pipes with wall thickness up to 25 mm. and • Align pipes with wall thickness up to 50 mm.
