Recommendations:
1. The assessment teams would hereby propose an immediate intervention for the
rehabilitation of water sources to ensure full operational of the water systems.
2. Emergency water assistance or water provision to the areas assessed that water is the most
emergency need should be considered to save lives.
3. Rehabilitation of non-functional boreholes/water sources at the affected areas.
4. Provision of supplementary backup fuel for operational boreholes and standby spare parts
for the strategic boreholes surrounding the affected areas. To use for the water trucking.
5. Sanitation and hygiene promotion activities are also a priority need for all as they have
limited sanitation facilities and unhygienic water sources.
23 | P a g e
6. And lastly but not least, all project interventions should respect and be in line with
government agencies and the local communities.
