I BASIS OF DESIGN RATING 150 psig @ 200 degrees F

PIPING Copper, seamless, Type L, ANSI B31.3, type ACR tubing, hard drawn, conforming to B-280, class: IED.

FITTINGS Wrought copper, ANSI B16.22, socket joint, B-75.

FLANGES Copper, socket joint, Class 125 FF

UNIONS Copper, socket joint, brass ring nut

BOLTING Machine bolts, A307 Gr B, with heavy hex nuts, plated

SOLDER Silver brazing B260 melting range 640°C to 705°C, Aircosil 15 or Silphos.

GASKETS Full face, 1/8" thick, Viton Class 125, old ANSI.

VALVES BA-5 – Bronze body, bronze ball trim, RTFE seats, TFE seals and packing, design pressure-400psi @ 150°F, three piece body construction, threaded end connection“Apollo 82-10, Watts B-6800 or Kitz”.

BA-6 – Bronze body, bronze ball trim, RTFE seats and TFE2 seals to be removed during soldering, TFE packing, design pressure-400psi and temperature depends on solder used, three piece body construction, solder end connection “Apollo 82-20X, Watts B-6801 or Kitz”.

INSULATION Pipe insulation shall have a maximum “k” factor of 0.23 at 75 degrees F mean temperature with a maximum service temperature of 250 degrees F. Insulation shall be tube elastomeric rubber insulation. Butt joints shall be sealed with pressure tape of type and as the insulation jacket to provide a continuous vapor seal. Manufacturer’s: Armaflex, Flex Therm or Intel approved equivalent. Insulation thickness (3/4”Ø and below – 3/4”, 1”Ø through 3”Ø - 1”, 4”Ø and larger – 1 1/2”).
