PUMBA EdVantage –
It was a series of 7 webinars for 5 days which talked about essential soft skills required for
the students to face interviews in a better way. It was a week long program where we had 6
speakers from different domains talking about every detail possible, to prepare the students
to face the interviews. Below is the detailed timeline of the same –

Session 1 – Use of stories for engaging conversation
The first session was conducted by Mr Soham Daradkar who is the founder of Soham
Daradkar Academy. He guided the students regarding how to progress in an interview, how
to make the communication interactive and engaging for the listener. He guided the
students in how to form a story while in the conversation for easier explanation and
understanding.
Session 2 – Diluting stress
The second session was conducted my Mrs. Snehal Sarkar who is a life coach and a
corporate trainer. She guided the students in using meditation techniques in calming them
down. Numerous questions were answered during the session as she took various activities
and exercises during the session to help them calm.
Session 3 – LinkedIn- Introduction and Profile building
Third session was conducted by Dr. Lalit Katpalia who is a Technology and management
consultant and has tremendous experience of the industry. It was a very interactive session
wherein small details regarding the LinkedIn profile building were covered like establishing
connections, sending requests, things to add in the bio, etc. He talked about the importance
of LinkedIn and why everyone should think about it as a very effective tool and use it wisely.
Session 4 – Body Language
Fourth session was conducted by Mrs. Neha Saxena who is a Public Relations and Corporate
communication professional. She talked about what is the correct body language and why it
is important. What are the DO’s and DON’T’s in an interview and how can you improve on
those skills.
Session 5 and 7 – Campus to Corporate
Fifth and Seventh session was taken by Mrs. Anupama Deshmukh who is a Hospitality
consultant and corporate trainer. She guided the students regarding what an employer is
actually looking for from a candidate, how can one be more employable, etc. Crucial
questions of how to prepare for an interview, what should we talk about, how to express,
what should be avoided, etc was covered in both the sessions.
Session 6 – Professional Email Writing
Session 6 was conducted by Mrs. Geetanjali Shrike who is HR consultant and corporate
trainer. She helped the students in the email writing formats and hoe a professional email
should look like. With all the examples and relative comparison between the correct and
incorrect emails, student could easily get an idea about email writing.
