At the Variety Show, come cheer on your favorite performers as they strut their stuff! Experience something new and exciting with Donaldson Discovers! Dine & Donate at Buffalo Wild Wings for Donaldson to receive cash back to use in our classrooms!

The CLO assembly is scheduled for February 20 at 9am.
13 year old Gabriella is full of questions, but short on confidence as the quietest kid in the school’s astronomy club. That all changes when she takes an amazing journey back in time to meet the legendary astronomer, Galileo Galilei, and assist him as he races to finish his first telescope. While working with the “father of science” on his revolutionary discoveries, Gabriella learns valuable lessons about the importance of curiosity and courage in the face of adversity. VARIETY SHOWCome to the PTA Variety Show at the WA Auditorium on Friday, February 6 at 6:00 pm. Entry to the show is FREE but Girl Scout Troop 50515 is working on their Bronze Award. They are collecting donations for the Ronald McDonald House of Pittsburgh. They are asking for toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving cream, shampoo, and conditioner. There will be a collection box at dress rehearsal and the night of the Variety Show. Please consider a donation.
DONALDSON DISCOVERSAre you tired of winter and looking for something exciting to do after school? If so, then Donaldson Discovers has just the thing for you. Join us on four Thursdays, beginning February 19 through March 12, 2015 to learn something new in a fun environment. The Donaldson Discovers flyer will be distributed shortly via email and will highlight all of this year's offerings which will include swimming, live animals, pottery, Legos, science experiments and more. Just a reminder that Donaldson Discovers cannot take place without the assistance of many volunteers. We hope you will consider assisting us with this endeavor, clearances are required to volunteer. SHOP 'n SAVE has hosted the "Students Extra Educational Development (S.E.E.D.)" program for nearly 30 years, bringing assemblies from The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium, Carnegie Science Center and Carnegie Museum to children of all ages.

Now instead of collecting receipts, you can link your Perks Card with the school of your choice to help to bring an assembly to students. Here at Donaldson we provide many wonderful
programs at school to help enhance the learning
environment that our school district provides.
Some examples are parties, field trips, birthday
books, teacher appreciation, yearbooks,
recreational equipment, cultural programs in the
arts, school assemblies and so much more! We’ll
keep you updated on what our National PTA is
working to achieve. Weʹll keep trying to come up
with ways to meet the needs of our children, our
teachers, our school and our community.
To achieve these goals, we need your voice. We
need your ideas and we need your input. Wonʹt
you please consider becoming involved in our
PTA? Together, we CAN make a difference in our
childrenʹs lives and potentially many future
generations.
We hope you will want to be an active part of
Donaldson PTA this year. Donaldson PTA is an
association of faculty, parents and our community
supporting each other to improve the education of
our children. The PTA is the largest, non-profit,
volunteer, child-advocacy organization in the
nation. There are two easy steps that you can take
to help promote the welfare of our children.
1. Volunteer for a commiWee or any of the many
PTA sponsored activities.
2. Give the PTA your suggestion, thoughts and
ideas. Make your voice heard.
