About PSS®ODMS
PSS®ODMS is a CIM-based data repository commercial product developed in-house
by Siemens PTI
PSS®ODMS comes in 3 flavors:
Single-user Edition – provides CIM-based network modeling, analysis, and PSS®E data
conversion capabilities in a local desktop environment
Standard Edition – supports a multi-user database environment and introduces more advanced
functionality such as incremental-based project modeling
Enterprise Edition – introduces operational network analysis functionality including State
Estimation with real-time measurement integration
TSO’s have used PSS®ODMS to exchange CGMES-compliant network models
The ENTSO-E Secretariat has used PSS®ODMS to assemble a pan-European network
model from multiple TSO models
PSS®ODMS has successfully participated in all ENTSO-E sponsored CIM/CGMES
interoperability tests and will continue to do so

PSS®ODMS-based Automated Case Creation
• Vision Statement
To assist TSO’s with ENTSO-E Network Code compliance, provide a PSS®ODMS-based
automated solution to allow engineers to efficiently and reliably create multiple CGMES-
compliant cases consisting of their local modeling authority sets for a selected near-future time
period.
• Currently…PSS®ODMS provides the necessary core functionalities for maintaining a persistent and
reusable CIM model, building and solving cases, and exchanging CGMES-compliant data.
• However…To support near-term operational planning case creation requires further integration and
automation.

PSS®ODMS-based Automated Case Creation
• Progress to date• Webinar to ENTSOE TSOs
• Vision statement
• Example use cases
• Nonfunctional requirements
• Relevant core PSS®ODMS functionality and APIs
• Phased deployment
• Architectural design
• Feedback
• One-on-one meetings with individual TSOs
• Therefore…An automated, PSS®ODMS-based solution is feasible
• Next step: Scheduling a second ENTSOE Webinar – enhance our
understanding and refine our technical requirements
