Dr. Abhishek Raut
He is a community physician, teacher and researcher presently working as Professor at
Dr. Sushila Nayar School of Public Health, MGIMS, Sevagram. He has completed the 68th
National Course on Educational Science for Teachers of Health Professionals (2014) at
NTTC, JIPMER Puducherry and also the Basic and Advanced Course in Medical Education.
He was an Organizing team member for the 3rd Bellagio Global Health Education
Initiative meet (Feb 2018) and the NCHPE-2014 held at MGIMS Sevagram. He has been
a Faculty for Pre-conference workshop on ‘Developing Good Study Skills’ (NCHPE-18),
Community Innovations (ETHOS-2017) and Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (ETHOS-2019). He is
actively involved in implementation of an innovative community-based education program for undergraduate
students at MGIMS. He is a resource person for the Medical Education Unit (MEU) and also a member of the
e-learning subgroup and Personal and Professional development subgroup of MEU at MGIMS Sevagram.
Dr. Deepika V
She is currently working as Associate Professor in Department of Physiology, Sri
Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital, Puducherry. She has teaching
experience of more than 11 years for MBBS students. Her areas of interest are Medical
Education and Electrophysiology. She has received the “Sushruta Best Young Scientist
Award” from Bose Science Society in 2020 for her contributions and dedicated
services in the field of scientific research and education. She has published 22 articles
in peer reviewed journals till date. She is the editorial board member of the Journal,
“Science Journal of Public Health”. She is also the chief warden of the ladies hostel and
is actively involved in various other committees of the college like newsletter committee, NAAC accreditation
committee, examination committee, student support system committee and member of Medical Education Unit.
Dr. Ganashree CP
She is a Professor of Physiology at Basaveshwara Medical College and Hospital,
Chitradurga (BMCH,CTA).Karnataka. She is a coordinator for Medical Education Unit
and a member of core curriculum committee at BMC&H,CTA. She have undergone the
revised basic course workshop and advanced course in medical education from St. Johns
Medical College, Bangalore. She enjoys teaching and is interested in innovative teaching
and learning methods in medicine. She is a Certified Instructor and got trained from
Jeeva Raksha Trust, Bangalore affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University Of Health
Sciences, Bangalore for comprehensive Emergency Care Life Support( ECLS) ,which is
four days mandatory certified course for interns .
Dr. Jyotsna Agarwal
She is a Medical Microbiologist,

laboratory. Before joining RMLIMS, she was a faculty at King George’s Medical
University for 15 years, and an active me

She is currently Professor and Head, Department of Pathology, Yenepoya Medical College,
Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru. She has completed her undergraduate
and postgraduate education from St. John’s Medical College, Bengaluru. She is a member
of the Curriculum Committee and Convenor of the AETCOM Core Committee. She has
completed the Advance Course in Medical Education from CMC, Vellore. She is a member
of the University Academic Council, and of the Faculty of Medicine and Board of Studies
of the Medical College. She has to her credit several Academic Publications in National
and International Journals, and is also a Reviewer/Editorial Board Member of many

Dr. Subitha L
She is currently working as Associate Professor in Department of PSM. JIPMER
Pudhucherry. She has completed research project on community based physical activity
program primary health care based diabetes registry and is currently the principal
investigator for the project titled “Tuberculosis” Learning the impact of nutrition. She
has teaching experience of more than 10 years and served as resource person for several
workshops on Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Research methodology. She has around 90
scientific publications in National & International Medical Journals. Her areas of
Interest include Non communicable diseases. Health promotion, Public health advocacy
and medical education.
Dr. Surya Prakasa Rao
He is presently working as Dean & Professor of Community Medicine, Chairperson of
Medical Education Unit an d chairperson of Curriculum Committee for MBBS, Narayana
Medical College, Nellore. He has undergone training in Basic and Revised Basic Course
Workshops in Medical Education Technologies and AETCOM. He has also completed the
fellowship offered by MCI on Medical Education/ Advance Course in Medical Education
(FIME/ ACME) from St John’s Medical College, Bengaluru. He had been resource faculty
for Basic and Revised Basic Course Workshops conducted at various institutes. His
work on OSCE was published in an indexed journal way back in 1993. He is in the
teaching career for the past 30 years, teaching community medicine to medical
students. He had also organized a three-day workshop on Research in Medical Education during 2007. He has
attended and coordinated workshops on continuous medical education and epidemiological research. His areas
of interest in Medical Education are teaching methods and assessment in medical education.
Dr. Sushil Chawla
He is Surgeon Captain(Dr) Sushil Chawla is a professor in the Department of Obstetrics
and Gynaecology at Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. He is a Indian Navy Doctor is
an Alumnus of AFMC. He has undergone ne the revised basic course workshop at AFMC
Pune. He enjoys teaching using innovative teaching and learning methods in medicine. He
is a student mentor par excellence. He is interested in making videos of every subject
and then teach using a black board and the videos.
Dr. Sivabalan T
He is a Principal and Dean, College of Nursing of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences
(Deemed to be University), Loni (Bk), Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. He is a Post Doctoral
Fellow (Fellowship of Nursing Research Society) from NRSI. He has guided 02 PhD
scholars and guiding 08 scholars. He has published 22 articles, chaired 13 scientific
sessions, and faculty for 34 FDP’s. He has completed value added courses on ‘Health
Professional Education Technology’ and ‘3T Training program in Bioethics Health
Sciences Education’ (UNESCO Chair).He has authored a Text book on ‘Nursing Research
and Statistics’ and written chapters in two text books. He has worked as Senior
Researcher for 02 State Level Projects funded by SHSRC, Pune and UNFPA, Mumbai;
and recipient of ‘Linnaeus Palme Scholarship’ and visited University of Skovde, Sweden. He was a recipient of
‘Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Teaching Excellence’ – 2018 and ‘PIMS Chancellor Rolling Trophy for Best
Teacher Award’ – 2019. He is a Joint Editor – Journal of Nursing Research Society of India (JNRSI). His
areas of interest include nursing education and health sciences research.
Dr. Vinay Kumar N
He is currently working as Associate Professor of Anatomy as well as Coordinator of
Medical education unit at Government Medical College, Palakkad, and Kerala. He has
completed my graduation and Post-graduation from J. J. M. Medical College, Davanagere,
Karnataka.I see myself as a versatile, clinically oriented anatomist actively involved in
teaching and mentoring of first MBBS students. Donning the hat of a researcher, He has
published various research articles in national and international journals. Being a
coordinating head of medical education keeps me motivated in implementation of better
and feasible educational technologies for the learning of our students. He has undergone
training in “Revised Basic Course Workshop in medical education technologies”,
“Advanced Course in Medical Education”, “Curriculum Implementation Support Programme” as well as “Principles
in Bioethics and Human Rights by UNESCO”. He was also member of Institutional Research Committee and
Institutional curriculum committee, coordinator for first MBBS programme and also organized workshops. He

flourishing my medical education technology and leadership skills to its fullest potential.
