SECTORS CBRNE detection, identification, decontamination and therapeutics
CEA (Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique), a French prominent player in industrial research, has developed innovative technologies for global security, including CBRN-E new detection tools. Thus, a wide set of CBRN-E technologies are now mature for technological transfer towards industry or commercially available, especially in the field of B detection (immuno assays) and N/R detection (beacons, gamma cameras).
Technology integration in infrastructures, data fusion, video analytics, testing & evaluation are also some of the other major domains of CEA’s contribution to Security.

These tactical battlefield simulators have the distinction of being non-pyrotechnic and completely programmable, used to replicate a mortar attack on a convoy, an explosion in the subway, a suicide bombing, medical teams working in a combat zone etc... Until now, training for these scenarios had to be done using pyrotechnics, which can be dangerous and may not provide a sufficient degree of realism. That time has passed. With its new simulators, Cyalume is innovating once again. These products allow all forces engaged in crisis situations – military, police or first responders – to face the realism of high-intensity effects (smoke, noise) and to train safely under realistic conditions.
