Remote Mount - For a remote mount configuration, the ODU is attached to the pole with an ODU Mount Kit. In some other scenarios the
ODU will not mount directly to the antenna. This would most likely be the case when a Proxim radio is being incorporated into an existing
antenna which does not offer a slip-fit or compatible waveguide flange. In this scenario the ODU will need to be mounted near the antenna
and a Waveguide transition, adapter is utilized to convert the ODU and Antenna interfaces.

The installation and putting in operation of Tsunami™ GX800 microwave link can make only by the manufacturer or its authorized com-
pany.
ODU Mounting Options
Most installations will utilize the Direct-Mount option to the antenna. In some cases however other options will be required. For frequencies
of 6-11GHz some integration prefers an all Indoor solution. This requires that the ODU be mounted to a rack, wall, or cable tray. Providing
an option for this is required. Other installations will require the ODU be connected to a non-Direct Mount antenna with a different mat-
ing system. In both cases the ‘Remote Mount’ bracket will be adequate. ODU is mounted behind the parabolic antenna. In dependence on
requested application distances there are available antennas with diameters of 30, 60 and 120 cm. To bridge the larger distances the active
retranslation can be used.
Direct Mount - In a direct mount configuration, the ODU is attached via clips directly to the antenna which is fitted with an ODU interface.

This option will require the most additional pieces as well as investigation/planning. Understanding the appropriate flange type on the existing
Antenna can be a challenge and finding an adapter to convert between the 2 can be equally challenging. Most distributors can aid in this.
Unlike the common way of directly fixed on the antenna body, in the split mounting method, ODU is connected to the antenna through a
flexible waveguide, thus, an adapter, which is fixed to the end of ODU in one side and connects to the waveguide in the other, shall be used
when no standard flange interface is available for ODU.

Adapting ODU interface with standard flange, The ODU adapter can also support the coupler when 1+1 mode is used. Essentially, ODU
adapter is a component which adapts ODU/coupler with the waveguide and fixes the ODU/coupler on the mast.
