Introduction to ProTec Beadlet Technology


Each beadlet microsphere is a small compactamount of active ingredient, bound together byfood grade polymers.

By choosing different polymers we are able to modify the rate at which the microsphere breaks up and so releases its active ingredient contents.

• By controlling the size of the microspheres we are also able to adapt the release profile.

• By blending different types of beadlet we can have a full spectrum of active ingredient release from immediate up to 6 hours.

• Many supplements are delivered in high dosages for maximumeffect, however a high concentration can be tough for the body to process and in some cases can lead to high concentrations of nutrients which maybe beneficial to avoid.

• ProTec Beadlets allow for a sustained and gradual release of the active components thereby preventing “dose dumping” into the intestine and blood stream and prolonging the period over which the active ingredients are present in the body.

• Some active ingredients like Iron can be harmful when taken in high dose and can give local irritation in the GI tract, a more gradual release gets over this problem.
