Dehradun, the capital city of Uttarakhand, is located some 235 kilometers from Delhi. While it serves as the gateway to some of
the country's most popular hill stations, what makes Dehradun special is that it is truly a leading educational destination
because of its pristine environment and the peaceful nature that its flora & fauna, forests and mountains provide.
Nestled in the foothills of the Himalayan mountain ranges, Dehradun sits cozily between the two most prominent rivers of the

Deep within this scenic environment, you will find Vantage Hall Girls' Residential School. Our location, near Doonga Village, was
purposefully selected as it is perhaps one of the most beautiful and calming environments in the area. With bright sunlight

Dear Parents,
Vantage Hall, with its beautiful campus and modern facilities, is nestled between green woods and lofty
hills and we are ready to welcome its new occupants, young girls with dreams and aspirations of their own.
The school acknowledges that parents are the primary educators, but here at Vantage Hall a professional body of teachers will
work in coordination with home and students to help each girl to reach her potential. We are committed to providing all facilities:
creative, intellectual and physically challenging and motivating. A variety of forms of Art, Music, Dance and Sports will develop in
each student her latent desire for excellence in her chosen field.
Academics is the pivot point of the school. Students will be facilitated to imbibe a love for lifelong learning and enthusiasm for
exploring, so each lesson is enjoyed and our primary goal of academic excellence is achieved. That is why we put Learn ahead of our
two other areas of focus –Lead and Contribute.
The Boarding House is a special place where we've created a home away from home with space for each student in a secure and
caring environment. Attractively done up areas and rooms, where each student has her semi-personal and personal spaces and is
cared for and nurtured under an experienced House Mistress and a Matron. We believe that a boarding house is not just about
shelter and convenience, but an opportunity to develop confidence, self-belief and team spirit.
What sets Vantage Hall apart is the unique academic area with its Learning Studios and Suites, Learning Decks, One-on-One
rooms, and Commons. The experience of learning in these environments is going to be unique for both students and teachers.

Our Name
The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines Vantage as:
“A position giving a strategic advantage, commanding perspective, or comprehensive view.”
We derive our name from the word Advantage. And we believe our community of students, parents, teachers, and administrators
work towards a single goal – to provide our girl-students this position of Vantage.

Our logo tells the story of nesting and incubation.
As a residential school for girls, we see ourselves as a caring and inclusive
educational institution, as is aptly depicted by the nest. A nest where girls are

OUR PRINCIPAL - MRS. PREETI SINGH RATHORE
Mrs. Preeti Singh Rathore is a well-known name in the field of education. She has spent over twenty four years at Mayo College
Girls' School, Ajmer – where she played a leading role as the Vice Principal and Dean. As the Principal of Vantage Hall Girls'
Residential School, she is perfectly suited to oversee all aspects of boarding school life.
Her personal involvement in the running of the school ensures that all key areas: from academics to personal development,
from sports to recreational activities, from intellectual development to emotional support are of the highest standards at
Vantage Hall.
She will spearhead the academic focus of the school. She will motivate and inspire our girls to imbibe a love for lifelong
learning and approach each day with the enthusiasm to explore. So that each lesson is enjoyed and our primary goal of
academic excellence is achieved.
She will look after all aspects of boarding school life, to help create and nurture a home away from home for
all our girls. In this warm and caring environment, each of our girls will have the space to develop not
only as a student but also as an individual.
She will oversee all of our facilities to foster a creative, intellectual, physically challenging and
motivating environment for our girls. Her supervision ensures that our girls will have ample
opportunities to explore and excel in Art, Music, Dance and Sports.
But most importantly, what sets Vantage Hall apart is a combination of a caring and experienced
Principal and a new-age learner-centered design with Learning Studios and Suites, Learning

Mrs. Rathore has also been deeply inspired by her uncle, Dr. Brijraj Singh, a Rhodes Scholar, Author
and Professor at Universities both in India and New York, to choose teaching as her vocation. With
five generations of her family having studied at the Mayo College, Ajmer, and with Mrs. Rathore's
24 year tenure at the very same school, there is no one better suited to lead Vantage Hall than her.

• The Learning Studio Classroom Advantage. The Learning Studio contains breakout areas with soft seating, as well as flexible learning zones, for your daughter to collaborate with others or choose to work on her own.

• Age-appropriate Furniture. Our education furniture comes from Knowledge International, a supplier of furniture to institutions such as Harvard and Stanford. Chairs that help support a growing child's spinal curvature ensure there's no loss of concentration due to incorrect posture. Desks that are light enough for your daughter to reposition anywhere in the learning area to accommodate different teaching and learning styles.
• Child-friendly flooring. Our flooring in education areas is specially imported from Europe and is soft, anti-bacterial, solvent free, and a green product.

Our teaching methodology is 3-fold. We plan, we teach and we increase the effectiveness of the learning.

• We Teach: We lead well organised, objective driven lessons and explain content clearly. We engage students in all learning

Guidance Counselling Program
Vantage Hall seeks to provide a safe, caring, and positive environment for their students. The counselors at Vantage Hall support

Golf We have a competitively designed putting green with hazards, practice areas for driving & pitching. Our aim with the golf programme is to develop fundamental movement and sports skills, golf skills, character, values & life skills and most importantly create a love for the game.
Field Sports – Soccer, Hockey, Cricket These sports provide our girls an opportunity to learn team building skills and help deal with winning and losing. They also help overcome shyness and girls are less likely to feel isolated. Besides the obvious physical skills, our girls will learn and practice leadership skills, appreciation of different abilities. They will learn to respect team mates, opponents, officials and develop social interaction skills.
Track and Field Our 200m track and field ground lets our girls sample new sports or focus on those in which they excel. The most prominent physical benefit is the effect of strength training and aerobic exercise. Put together these will help our girls to run like the wind.
Other Sports - Volleyball, Table Tennis, Skating Our girls will get an opportunity to try out and enjoy these sports and activities. Volleyball and Table Tennis will be played inside while our skating rink is outdoors.
General Health and Fitness A separate gym with areas for yoga and self-defence classes will help give our girls the self confidence that lasts for a life time. Our little warriors will learn how to stay safe and protect themselves.

Rhythm and Movement Studio
We foster a love of movement and nurture our girl's radiant spirit. Areas of specialization are classical Indian, folk and western
dance. Our dance studio has appropriate flooring and acoustical treatments to enhance your daughter's experience. Our large and
oversized windows also provide both the audience outside a view of the practice sessions and allow our students to get

transitioning program is designed to help your daughter start enjoying life at Vantage Hall immediately. The program provides a
bridge between the structure of boarding school and the structure of home. In attempting to re-create an environment similar to
family life at home, transition students form a living unit and are expected to take part in group activities (such as team sports,

Vantage Hall believes all foods fit on your plate when you practice variety, balance and moderation. The Vantage Hall “Food for
Thought” program makes this easy. We assign color-coded dots to all menu items to guide your daughter's decisions. Our program
encourages a healthy relationship with food that is both fun and nutritious.
A balanced approach to eating relies on getting a variety of nutrients from a broad array of foods. Moderation is the key, since all
foods contain differing amounts of nutrients. The green, red and yellow dots indicate how much and how often certain foods
should appear on a plate.
Green spotlight foods are the foundation of your plate. Simply prepared fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins and non-fat
dairy are common green dot foods. Every day, add a variety of these foods to at least half your plate for added colour and nutrients.
Balance
Yellow spotlight foods add a mix of nutrients and flavours to your plate. Yellow dot foods include fruits, vegetables, grains, proteins
and low-fat dairy prepared with moderate amounts of added sugar, fat and / or salt. Balance your plate by filling a quarter to a half
of it with yellow spotlight foods.
Red spotlight foods provide valuable nutrients, but also contain some you want to moderate. Focusing on portion or frequency is a
great way to enjoy red dot foods. Reserve a quarter of your plate for foods like Pasta, or add items like pizza to your plate a couple
of times per week.

Dr. Sumer Singh – Principal, Daly College, Indore
Dr. Sumer Singh is an alumnus of The Doon School and St. Stephens College. He was also the Head of Lawrence School, Sanawar,
for 7 years and served as the Director of the Asian School, Dehradun. He has taught at widely reputed institutions such as the
Doon School, The Gordonstoun School, Scotland, the Boxhill School and the Windermere St. Anne's School,
England and in UWC, Wales. He was recently conferred a Doctorate of Literature in Education by De
Montfort University, England and was felicitated by the Education World for his outstanding contribution
to the field of Education. He has designed a number of schools including Pathways World School, Doon
Girls' and Sanskar Valley. He is also serving on the governing body of Mayo College & Mayo Girls'.
Mrs. Suniti Sharma – Principal, Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls' School, Jaipur
Educated at Delhi University, Mrs. Suniti Sharma has over 33 years of experience in education. She's been
the chairperson of the Indian Public School Conference (IPSC). She has also been the Principal of the
Global Indian International School, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this capacity, she oversaw the
rapid expansion of the school and its upgradation to Senior Secondary level. Earlier, she was
the Principal of Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior and the Headmistress of The Scindia
School, Gwalior. She was the founder secretary of Sahodaya Gwalior, an association of
CBSE schools, and has initiated resource sharing, mentoring and staff development
programmes. Mrs. Sharma was Chief Nodal Supervisor for CBSE Class X

Ms. Gunmeet Bindra –Principal, Welham Boys' School, Dehradun
An accomplished educationist with over 25 years of experience in teaching and school administration, an alumnus of the Delhi
School of Economics, Ms. Gunmeet Bindra is a member of the CBSE Governing Body and an active member of the British Council in
India. An avid sportsperson, she also played Hockey at the National Level and has been a swimming Champion at college besides

Mrs. Jyotsna Brar – Principal, Welham Girls' School, Dehradun
