Summer 2016 finds Cyprus having successfully completed, ahead of time, the financial terms of the

memorandum of understanding which was agreed with its creditors. This means that the Cypriot

economy is emerging stronger, gaining the confidence of international investors and markets.

PERMANENT RESIDENCY

Accelerated process (only 2 months) from the date of the submission of the application.

No need to reside in Cyprus as long as the applicant and his family included in the Immigration Permit, visit Cyprus at least once every two years.

The applicant should be an owner of a property (sold for the first time by a development company) in Cyprus, a house, an apartment or any other building, for a minimum value of €300.000 + VAT (if any). Options in property purchase – i.e. two independent housing units or one housing unit and a shop or one housing unit and an office as long as the total amount is for a minimum value of €300.000 + VAT (if any). The immigration permit issued to an applicant covers his spouse and children under the age of 18. The said permit is also applicable for unmarried children aged 18 to 25 who may prove that they are students at a University and are financially dependent on the applicant. The said permit will be valid for life aster the age of 25 without any other supportive document.

Documentation as proof that the applicant and/or his spouse have a secured minimum annual income of €30.000, (increase by €5,000 for each dependent person) from sources originating from abroad (salaries, pensions, dividends, fixed deposits, rents a.s.o.). The parents of the main applicant and those of his spouse are also able to apply and obtain the Permanent Residence Permit by just showing an extra 8,000 euros each on the main applicant's income certificate. The applicant should submit a confirmation letter from a financial institution in Cyprus that he has deposited a minimum capital of €30.000 into an account, which will be pledged for a period of at least three years. It must be proved that the said amount has been transferred to Cyprus from abroad. The applicant and his family included in the Immigration Permit must submit with their application, all documentation needed as per the checklists provided by the Cyprus Government The applicant and his spouse shall confirm that they do not intend to be employed in Cyprus but it is to be noted that the applicant and/or his spouse may be a shareholder(s) in a Company registered in Cyprus and the income from the dividends of such a company in Cyprus are not deemed an impediment for the purpose of obtaining an immigration permit.

Cyprus Residence Permit is permanent and no need for future reconsideration. It is a lifetime permit. Cyprus Permanent Residence applies to the e n t i r e f a m i l y ( p a r e n t s , c h i l d r e n , grandparents). Cyprus Permanent Residents have the right (under certain conditions) to apply for a Cypriot passport following their physical presence for a total of 5 years within a 7 year period. Once the Cyprus Permanent Residence Permit is obtained the applicant and his family included in his Immigration permit will be entitled to apply for a Schengen Visa through any Schengen European Embassy. It is very important to note that Cyprus is expected to enter the Schengen Zone soon. Cyprus has a relaxed, stress-free lifestyle with the lowest crime rate in Europe No Inheritance Tax applies in Cyprus

Fast track procedure: Approval will be issued within approximately 3 months.

A €2.5 million (plus vat if any) - Investment in a single Residence. A single property to be used as a residence at a minimum value of €2,5 million. The residence must be retained by the investors for a period of 3 years. Aster 3 years the Investor has the right to sell his/her property and buy another one at a minimum value of €500,000.

A €2.5 million (plus Vat if any) Investment in a selection of Residential Properties, out of which one property is to be used as a privately-owned permanent residence of a minimum value of €500,000. The remaining €2 million can be invested in a range of residential properties only, which may be resold aster 3 years.

A €3 million (plus vat if any) - Real estate investment, out of which one property is to be used as a permanent privately-owned residence at a minimum value of €500,000. The residence must be retained by the investors. The remaining €2,5 million can be invested in other properties, including residential and commercial which may be resold aster 3 years.

Any property/ ies purchased during the past 3 years, can also be included in the required investment amount.

Investors will be part of a collective group investment with a minimum of 5 applicants and a minimum investment amount of 12,5 mil Euros. (Leptos Estates will provide the remaining applicants).

The Cyprus Government enables foreign

investors to obtain Cyprus (EU) citizenship

through naturalization.

The program applies to the immediate

family of the applicant i.e the spouse and

dependent children up to the age of 28 if

full time university students.

Applicants must hold a clear criminal record

from the country of origin and the country

of residence (if different). No requirement to physically reside in

Cyprus, before/ aster approval.

Same rights as any European Citizen.

The whole family can obtain the Citizenship.

16th - 20th March

The 5th LE: NOTRE FORUM PAFOS 2016 "From Natural to Cultural", was

successfully organized by Neapolis University ofi Pafos, from 16th to 20th March

2016 at Coral Beach Hotel & Resort. The programme of the forum encouraged the exchange of contemporary critical

thinking and provided the foundation for interdisciplinary collaboration and

innovation. Participants from 20 different countries empowered the dynamic of

the forum with main Key note speaker, Prof. Kathryn Moore, Birmingham School

of Architecture and Design and President of the International Federation of

Landscape Architects (IFLA President) that for the first time participated at a

LE:NOTRE FORUM. The FORUM was coordinated by Prof. Julia Georgi, Head of

the Department of Architecture, Land and Environmental Science, Neapolis

University of Pafos, Board Member of LE:NOTRE INSTITUTE

at Neapolis UniversityExhibition Opening ''For Sepheris''

The Minister of Education and Culture Mr. Costas Kadis

attended the opening of the great exhibition ''For

Seferis'' organized by Neapolis University Pafos on the

premises of the University. The Minister praised the

importance of poetry by Seferis for Cyprus.

The President of the Council of the University of Neapolis

Pafos, Mr. Michael Leptos, said that the exhibition is

organized to celebrate 60 years since the publishing of

the collection " Κύπρον, οὗ µ� ἐθέσπισεν " and 45 years

aster the death of the poet. Furthermore, he said that the

poet gave Paphos two poems ''Neophytos the Recluse

speaks '' and ''Επικαλέω τοι την Θεόν'' and that Neapolis

University intends to make Paphos the center for Seferi

studies.

The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of Neapolis

University Pafos, Professor Diomedes Markoulis,

welcomed all guests and mentioned that Cyprus

remained the primary concern of Seferis during the years

of dictatorship. He was anxious and feared for Cyprus

when he made his famous statement pleading to stop

the anomaly. He did not live to see his fears being proven

right.

The Ambassador of Greece, Mr. Ilias Fotopoulos, also

spoke and said the struggles of Seferis, and especially

the people of Cyprus did not go in vain and so much pain

and so many lost lives did not fall into an abyss

unnoticed. He then quoted Seferis regarding Cyprus'

continuing struggle for peace, freedom and prosperity.

The opening event of the exhibition was also attended by

the Mayor of Paphos, the Higher Priest of Paphos, the

District Inspector of the Department of Secondary

Education Paphos, high school directors and many

others.

Photos taken by Seferis during his trips to Cyprus were

displayed. Photos of his life and other material from his

life and professional career, his books,

independent s tud ies of h is work ,

photocopies of manuscripts of Cypriot

poems, magazines and newspaper tributes

were all displayed. Also for the first time,

the guest book of The Monastery of Saint

Neophytos, which Seferis signed in 1953

when he visited, was presented.Also

displayed were portraits of Seferis by

famous Greek painters, a series of portraits

of the poet by the great Greek painter

Yiannis Psychopedis.

The exhibition will be open daily for all

students to visit from 11a.m. to 1p.m.

Special tours for high school students and

their teachers will take place every Friday at

11am by Professor G. Georgis.
