Duct Language Changes

• Section 3.2

• Unconditioned/cond-

itioned space language taken out (left up to specific programs to define)

• New section 8.2.3 says new duct systems should meet PTCS tightness requirements

Controls Changes/Addition

• Was Section 4.3/4.4; now Section 5• Aux heat staging/sequencing language removed• Added sentence to clearly specify no aux heat

allowed in Stage 1 call• Single capacity compressor: added explicit

sentence saying discharge air sensor control not allowed

• Multi-stage compressor: added option to allow discharge air sensor staging temperature warmer than 85° F (current req) as long as ODT is installed
