TO THE STATE DIRECTOR OF AGRICULTURETHE HO~~ORABLE BOARD OF SUPERVISORSTHE CHIEF ADl-f[NISTRATIVE OFFICER
Gentlemen:
It gives us great pleasure to present the 1967 Stanislaus CountyAnnual Crop Report, as required by- Section 2279 of the California. Agri-cultural Code.
After compiling this report we '~ere pleasantly surprised that thecounty once more showed a record breaking total incoDle figure. This wasnot anticipated as the weather conditions during the year were not toofavorable for many of our fruit and vine crops.
This report covers the acreage production and value of all cropsproduced and the value of all livestock and poultry products sold duringthe year. Also, listed is the acreage of bearing and non-bearingpermanent crops.
Emphasis must be made, that the total income of agricultural prod-ucts includes all the costs of production and does not indicate thatthis is net return to the producer.
'~e wish to express our appreciation to all of the people in agri-culture, industry, the irrigation districts, the members of the Agricul-tural Extension Staff and the Agricultural Commissioner's Staff fortheir cooperation in making this report possible. We also wish toexpress our appreciation to Frank Hayes, Deputy Agricultural Commissioner$who worked so diligently in compiling this report. .
Respectfully submitted,
