needs; performed operational research and staffing analyses of criminal justice agencies

2018 (November) Outside reviewer for Dr. Steele’ s scholarship for Promotion and Tenure to Associate

Professor at Ohio University-Lancaster. Reviewed and evaluated all of her scholarly materials and wrote

an evaluation on the quality of her work for the promotion committee.

2016 (June 7) Served as prisoner representative for EKU Institutional Review Board Hearing.

2016 (Spring & Summer Semester) – Facilitated a led a student group of mentors in mentoring an ex-

offender. Mentoring includes two hour meetings most every Tuesday evening.

2016 (February) – Attended the Alpha Phi Sigma Honor Society conference at Orlando, FL, as the faculty

advisor for the Eastern Kentucky University Epsilon chapter.

2015 (November 7) – Coordinated training activities for 32 participants so that they could be certified

mentors. Three professional guest speakers were the mentor trainers.

ex-offenders in a Nurture, Support, and Accountability Group (NSAG) for Mission Beyond Bars and

Beyond.

custody and non-custody discuss re-entry objectives and programs conducted at the jail.

1. Fall 2007 – Spring 2008: Served as host and supervisor to a S. Korean correctional official who is in the US

studying corrections. Activities conducted as part of my host activities included:

a. Toured the Fayette County Detention Center in Lexington, KY with S. Korean visitor Jong

Soon Park. While there we spoke at length with the Deputy Director and staff responsible for

female inmate programs.

b. Accompanied S. Korean visitor Jong Soon Park to the Southern Criminal Justice Association

Meeting in Savannah, GA. While in Savannah we toured the Chatham County Jail and spoke

at length with staff responsible on female inmate programs.

c. Accompanied S. Korean visitor Jong Soon Park to the International Association of

Correctional Training Personnel in Charleston, W. VA.

d. Accompanied S. Korean visitor Jong Soon Park to the American Society of Criminology

conference in Atlanta, GA.

e. Accompanied S. Korean visitor Jong Soon Park to the Correctional Security Conference in

Cincinnati, OH.

f. Toured three KY DJJ facilities (i.e., Cadet Leadership Education Program, Breathitt County
