Kingsford City Manager Retires
January will mark a new chapter in the life of TONY EDLEBECK. He will officially
retire from his position as Kingsford City Manager. Tony has been with the City of Kingsford since January 9, 1987 and has
logged 34 years making Kingsford a better place to work, live and enjoy.

dedication to the City of Kingsford and surrounding communities!

Located at 501 South Carpenter Avenue, Kingsford,
providing a variety of services for adults with mental
issues. They are a peer run organization, providing a
safe, non judgmental atmosphere for metal health
clients in the Dickinson County Community.

Smokler’s BBQ—New Location!
In addition to their location on North
Stephenson, Smokler’s will be parking their
food truck in the old Shopko parking lot,
Mondays & Wednesdays from 11:00-1:00,
with a limited menu, weather permitting.

DCH Welcomes Adrienne Chase as Corporate Compliance Officer
Dickinson County Healthcare is pleased to announce that Adrienne Chase has joined the
organization to serve as Corporate Compliance Officer and Director of Risk Management.
As a community hospital, Dickinson County Healthcare will benefit from Ms. Chase’s
comprehensive background in privacy, compliance and risk. Chase will help ensure the
organization is adhering to procedures and laws, perform internal risk assessments and
reviews, and support data protection on health information of employees and patients.

Helping In The
Community PURSE and POUR 2020
A Huge Success!
Frog Country/Radio Now/The Mountain hosted their annual Purse and Pour, September 3rd at St. Anthony’s Parish Hall in Niagara. It was a huge success! Thanks to everyone who came out to purchase purses and those who
donated purses and baskets.
Food and donations for the food pantry were also collected totaling 75 items. 100% of the proceeds went to Salvation Army Bread of Life Center serving Dickinson County and Northern Marinette Counties.
The event was only a few hours long but a total of $6865 was raised!
Next year’s event with benefit Almost Home Animal Shelter and will be held on April 21, 2021 at the new Venue 906 in Kingsford. Purses are already being accepted for next year’s event at the radio station.
TV6 Canathon Goes Virtual for
2020 Season
WLUC-TV has decided to transform the annual TV6 Canathon into a virtual event. After consulting with officials at local food pantries it was decided to change the TV6 Canathon from a non-perishable food collection event to a monetary donation event.
The web address to donate is www.tv6canathon.com, collections will conclude on December 11th. Area residents can donate by check, money order, pay pal or credit card.

Join for $1 September Event: SUCCESS!
Proceeds from Anytime Fitness’s Join for $1 event in the Upper Peninsula were distributed as follows:
*Iron Mountain: $300 to Caring House Women’s Shelter!*Escanaba: $300 to United Way!
*Marquette: $300 to UPAWS! *Sault Ste. Marie: $1000 including, Foot Prints, Strava Group, Luminary Bags and Bike for Cancer in June - All proceeds went directly to Relay for LIFE!
That’s a total of $1900 raised for good causes in these communities!
Anytime Fitness believes these efforts assist our communities as we move forward, supporting a variety of non-profit programs with their goals!

ribbon cutting to

the community and to
the Chamber.
