management, Agriculture, Livelihood, Health and sanitation, postharvest operations and entrepreneurship
development. Empower them to cope up with the disaster due to climate variations. The purpose is to
involve the community in decision making and monitoring actions to promote empowerment
accountability in other aspects of good governance.)

Synopsis
Indian villages are still suffering due to multiple problems which has retarded their growth.. There are
several livelihood problems leading to health, agriculture risks and climate disasters causing heavy losses.
Agricultural Universities are the hub of agricultural and livelihood education. The student coming from
various states can be the better carrier of innovative technologies to their states and remote village, can
maintain the rural and urban liking and play a vital role for improving the farmer’s income.
River water user Association (India) have been the pioneer agency to adopt the innovative idea of Prof.
Rajendra Kumar Isaac, for implement the Farmers empowerment and livelihood Risk management project
with the help of the team of experts.
About the Project:
River Water User Association-IRDRA and International River Basin Foundation has started a
collaborative Project through digital innovation to connect the farmers with experts to train and educate
them in adopting best practices in water, Agriculture and livelihood, to manage climate risks and disasters
Weekly consultative meetings on water, Agriculture and livelihood, at various villages throughout India
Objectives
1. To improve farmer’s income and livelihood conditions.
2. To empower the farmers to tackle the problems of water, Agriculture and livelihood, due to
climate risks and disasters.
3. To inform the farmers, men and women about best practices for disaster management.
4. To involve the community in decision making and promote good governance.
