DESCRIPTION

Young people have the right to attain their full potential. Those who lack the necessary support to imagine possibilities for their future and feel disconnected from the society, are left to do unskilled jobs or even become involved in crime. Threee aims to open gateways for those who feel alienated to embark on a proactive career path, and help them find constructive and stable positions in society. By building bridges between young people and workplaces through short-term employment opportunities, participants gain experience, confidence, and skills that prepare them for the challenges of broader social engagement. Threee incorporates local municipalities in the mix, creating a multi-layered system with a variety of touch-points.

Minority groups—specifically those originating from non-western countries—feel that they are not included in the social, economic, cultural and political activities of their new countries, and thus experience a sense of not belonging. They turn to their original culture for acceptance and reassurance, and in the process, further exclude and isolate themselves from the larger society.

“They bonded well in after-school parties.I was feeling like nobody actually wanted to be in a group with me, although I worked hard.”Iman

“It’s not cool to be seen in a group of danes, you better stick with people similar to you.”, Omar

“There is nothing better for integration than starting with a good laugh by the copying machine.”,Matthias

“My friend Emil and I had huge effect on each other, he invited me to xmas dinner and I learnt a lot of good habits from him and his family, he also did.”, Mommo

“Mommo needed an escape from the group he was hanging out with, the project provided a safe space that’s not completely alien.” ,Gina

“The dropout rates from vocational training for the second generation are more than twice as high as among persons of Danish origin. This, in turn, is at least in part attributable to the fact that persons with a migration background have more difficulties getting apprenticeship contracts with companies than comparable persons of Danish origin.”

Dear GraduateLand,I am writing to apply for the position of Data Entry Clerk at your company. I have good computer skills and I would love to learn more applications like excel, or as mentioned in the job description, databases. This is my first application so I don't have much experience yet, but I hope you will give me with the opportunity to develop my skills. I am free everyday after 16:00. Really looking forward to hear from you.
