Impact of Modern Movies on Employees
Behavior.
Abstract:
Movies are great way for families to spend time together. It does not matter
what kind of movie families are watching as long as they are together. The
process of watching a movie is a common way to be entertained in this day and
age. There are multiple ways in which people can enjoy a movie ranging from the
big screen at a commercial theater, on their homes television, or even in a car
while driving. This work/ study focus on to determine the impact of modern
movies on employees behavior. How movies impact employees behavior
Introduction:
The topic is impact of modern movies on employees behavior. The key wordsinclude: Modern movies, employees behavior, leadership, corporate culture,
movie tourism.
The detail of variables and significance is coming to next lines. Now what are
movies?
Movies are an important form of popular culture and mass media that we often
associate with mere entertainment (mankekar 2001). Media always have
influence people's behavior. Most of the times it is totally different than the
reality. There are some educational movies, cartoon films and movies on fairy
tales. Some of them are inspiring and encouraging and motivating. And there are
some action, violent and horror movies also. The daily News on TV which are
important too. They are also addictive and time consuming. They all have
different effects on different people.
Those movies make you feel that even you can do things which are out of your
reach; you want to work hard if you watch such movies. Inspiring and
encouraging movies are also there, they help you in certain ways. And besides
that they are entertaining.
Movies has always been used to instruct and entertain people. Throughout
history movies have thought people about war, love, life and death. They have
made people happy and sad, angry and remorseful. There is no doubt that movies

have had some very important effects on peoples behavior. The movies
influences affect in young children as they pass through different levels of
growing up, and on people who often watch movies and incorporate them in their
own real life activities.
In the era of Globalization, the World has shrunk into a global village, yet it can
not replace the anxiety to know about one another. This is where tourism plays
an impeccable role. The purpose of study is to take the unexplored areas into
consideration and integrating those aspects into the current study. It has
examined how a movie image affects the decisions people make about a
destination.
We have also used movies to enrich discussion of leading management issues likesuccession, strategic planning, product development and the creation missionstatement. In all cases our use of movies has followed four simple steps.1-find a movie that is broadly relevant to the training need or issue.
2-rent or buy copies of the movie for the employees involved and assign them forhome viewing.3-meet with the person or group after they have seen the movie and discuss thekey topics.4-take the lessons learned from the movie and discuss hoe they might be appliedor in some cases not applied in the workplace.
Literature Review:
Movies:
Amovie, also called a film or motion picture, is a series of still or movingimages. It is produced byrecording photographic images with cameras, or by
creating images using animation techniques or visual effects. The process
offilmmaking has developed into an art form and industry.
Films are cultural artifacts created by specific cultures, which reflect those
cultures, and, in turn, affect them. Film is considered to be an
important art form, a source of popular entertainment and a powerful method
for educating or indoctrinating citizens. The origin of the name "film" comes
from the fact that photographic film (also called film stock) has historically been
the primarymedium for recording and displaying motion pictures.

Modern movies are generally considered to be the ones that have been directed
from the 1990's to the 2000's. These movies are worth watching.
For example:
Avatar (2009)
Director: James Cameron
This is an epic science fiction movie and one of the most expensive movies (USD
237 million) ever made. The story is based in 2154 A.D. and it's about how
humans are trying to interact with the local tribe of Pandora, called the Na'vi. The
humans are actually mining for a precious mineral which is called the
unobtanium and they want to expand their mining field and for that they want
the Na'vi people to evacuate their land. Watch the movie and see who wins. Do
they agree to the human demands or do the humans fail? This is a really goodmovie. And while watching this movie, do not forget your 3-D glasses.
Other Best Modern Movies:
Some other best modern movies list is given below.
Out of Sight (1998) The Matrix (1999) Run Lola Run (1999) The Sixth Sense (1999)
Almost Famous (2000) In the Mood for Love (2000) The Lord of the Rings (2000) City of God (2003) Finding Nemo (2003) Shaun of the Dead (2004) Sideways (2004
Behavior:
Behavior orbehaviour (see American and British spelling differences) refersto the actions of a system or organism, usually in relation to its environment,
which includes the other systems or organisms around as well as the physical
environment. It is the response of the system or organism to various stimuli or
inputs, whether internal or external, conscious or subconscious, overt or covert,
and voluntaryor involuntary.

In humans, behavior is believed to be controlled primarily by the endocrine
system and the nervous system. It is most commonly believed that complexity in
the behavior of an organism is correlated to the complexity of its nervous system.
Generally, organisms with more complex nervous systems have a greater capacity
to learn new responses and thus adjust their behavior.
Employees behavior
Employees behavior, also called organizational behavior, is results of factors that
influence the ways employees respond to their work, leadership and customers.
Internal & External Factors/ variables that Influence
Employees behavior
Internal factors include leadership, organizational structure and thecorporate culture. External factors include family life and other
business relationships.
Internal Factors:
1 Internal Leadership
Leadership plays a key role in setting the tone of an organization. According to
allbusiness.com, the one quality that influences employees behavior in a positive
way is trust in leadership.2 Internal - Organizational Structure
This includes the organization's policies, procedures and expectations. A healthy
organizational structure will enable employees to be more efficient, while an
unhealthy structure can keep employees from reaching their potential.3 Internal Corporate Culture
An organization's intangible norms make up its corporate culture. For example,
the corporate culture of Starbucks includes friendly service, a welcoming
atmosphere and flexibility in the hours an employee can work.
External Factors:

1 External Family Life
Employees' family life can have a direct impact on their behavior. If there's a
conflict in the family life, it can affect the employees behavior at work. The
employee may respond negatively to criticism at work.2 External Business Relationships
Other business relationships have an impact on employees behavior. For
example, partnership based businesses.
Other factors include:
Positive Environment
A critical internal force that influences employees behavior is the actions of
colleagues. According to Entrepreneur.com, "creating an atmosphere of sharing
and helping" was at the top of the list during a roundtable brainstorming session
at the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce when clients were asked to identifythe primary forces that improve effective customer service.
Technology
Technology is a significant factor that can have both positive and disruptive
influences on employees behavior. While technology can often help streamline
processes and make work easier for employees, learning how to use new
technology while remaining productive can be stressful.
Locus of Control
Employees are influenced by both internal and external forces, but the impact ofthese forces depends a great deal on their own levels of internal and external
locus of control, says Al Siebert, Ph.D., author of "The Resiliency Advantage," at
ResiliencyCenter.com. Those who have an external locus of control are looking
for people to tell them what to do. These are the employees who need a great deal
of direction and expect managers to give clear and detailed feedback at all times.
Those with an internal locus of control feel empowered to make decisions and act
on their own---they feel in control of their destiny rather than at the mercy of
external factors.
How to measure employees behavior:

6/22
Measuring behavior is not new, of course. Social scientists have been doing this
since the Hawthome Studies of the 1930s. But many organizational
communicators have been slow to measure their impact on employees behavior.
And now, despite communication audits being embraced by leading
organizations around the world, it seems that true evaluation is being
overlooked. Yet without measurement and evaluation how can we know what we
contribute and what we are really worth?
Organizational performance depends on appropriate employees behavior.Employees behavior contributes to organizational performance.
Employee communication attempts to move employees' behavior in theappropriate direction.
The ultimate success or otherwise of communication depends on how far it
moves employees behavior. Here, Rodney Gray argues that unless wemeasure the impact on behavior - where the rubber hits the road - our efforts
will fall short of true evaluation.
We can measure employees behavior through his job performance, job
satisfaction, his communication etc.
Model:
How do movies influence people/employee's behavior? Here are some reasons
and specific examples to support.
Media always have influence people's behavior. Most of the times it is totally
different than the reality. There are some educational movies, cartoon films and
movies on fairy tales. Some of them are inspiring and encouraging and
motivating. And there are some action, violent and horror movies also. They are
also addictive and time consuming. They all have different effects on different

people.
For employees and children there are lots of educational movies some of them
are Disney, Leap Frog which helps children to learn alphabets, counting, colors
etc.
There is also the topic of horror movies and violent movies make people loosetheir grip on reality and develop mental health issues and in some cases act outwhat they see in a movie. This is why some movies get bad publicity and wind upgetting banned but the irony is that because its banned and gets bad press morepeople will want to go and see it therefore establishing a cult fan base if you will. For others it just shows people about the what ifs of the world, fantasy being puton film to help people escape reality for about and hour and a half. so as you seesome movies can have big effects on society by being controversial, by beingheartwarming and sometimes just to entertain the public.
Movies Influence on a Persons Life
Movies has always been used to instruct and entertain people. Throughouthistory movies have thought people about war, love, life and death. They have
made people happy and sad, angry and remorseful. There is no doubt that movies
have had some very important effects on peoples behavior. The movies
influences affect in young children as they pass through different levels of
growing up, and on people who often watch movies and incorporate them in their
own real life activities.
The primary reason is that movies have cultural and moral influences on people.
For instance, Youngsters love to watch the dancing princesses or the evil ninjas,
because of a lack of judgment and knowledge. They will copycat the actions and
behaviors in everything whether it is playing, clothes or habits. Children do not
have the sense to differentiate fact from vision. They think, what they see is real
and can happen to them in the future.
In above Para we generally talk about the impact of movies on society because
employees are part of that society so specifically we target employees behavior in
the next paragraph.
Movies impact employees behavior in many ways. E.g. if employees see horror
movies in their life then this will impact their behavior accordingly. If employees
are see movies on nature, love, good working relation, good family relation thentheir mood will also good and they will work in pleasant mood.
For example when employer or employee will see the movies the godfather whichdeals with Negotiation, Power and Politics, Coercion and Corruption,Succession Planning then he/ she will easily understand the how to deal?

Significance:
Significance of the topic:
Movies have played an especially vital role in the battle for control of the minds
eye. Throughout the twentieth century, many Americans got their first glimpse of what a strike, union leader, communist, or mass movement looked like bywatching movies. No one film is likely to determine our vision of the world, butthe repetition of similar images over and over again until they becomecommonplace does create a way of seeing the worlda discoursethat appearsas the dominant reality to many Americans. How should scholars go about understanding the relationship between workersand movies? This is an especially important question for those toiling in working-class history, where movies have remained on the margins of scholarly inquiry; asubject that for many, as Dave Beck suggested seems tangential to real laborhistory. For many years, scholarship about movies and workers took one of two
basic approaches: Cinema scholars wrote about images of workers in films, whilelabor historians wrote histories of union activity within the movie industry. Thetwo schools were usually quite distinct. In last twenty years, a burst ofscholarship in both fields makes it clear that it is not enough simply todeconstruct cinematic images of workers or to write histories of studio laborisolated from the cinematic implications of those struggles. We need tounderstand how cinematic images of workers are constructed in the first place. To that end, we must realize that what happens off the screen is vital to shapingwhat is seen and not seen on the screen. Doing all this requires adopting amaterialist understanding of the film industry and its changing relationship toworkers as cinematic subjects, as audiences, as studio laborers, and as movie
producers.

This paper (Management Goes to the Movies) has suggested the use of film as a vehicle to illustrate, elucidate and ultimately teach various concepts ofmanagement. A variety of factors are converging to support the development of acourse based entirely on film. These include the fact that todays employee mayor may not have the time, patience or desire to sit through training lecture afterlecture in the chalk and talk format. Further, regardless of how entertaining, scholarly and impressive the instructor is, he or she will have difficulty upstagingthe stars of Hollywood. Finally, real learning can take place because famousscenes from Hollywoods greatest movies tend to stay locked in the subconsciousmind of the viewer, rather than recycled in a bookstores textbook discount rackand training. For many years, the relationship between workers and film was of marginalconcern to historians and cinema scholars alike. The initial histories of the movies were little more than memoirs by early industry participantsproducers, directors, studio heads, cameramen, and stars.
Significance of the study:
As the industry that is allowed to us is PAKISTAN TOURISM DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION. One employee of PTDC told us that we watched the tourists the
documentaries on culture. So what is the link of culture and employees behavior
look at the following lines.
Organizational Culture and Employees behavior
Organizational culture may be defined as the accepted norms and values that are
associated with a particular company. These norms are seen as distinctive to a
particular organization and normally affect the way specific organizations go
about implementing their organizational goals. These norms are also passed onfrom one group of the organization to another. The most fundamental question
that managers and other organizational stakeholders need to answer is what is
the relevance of organizational culture to the way they go about their activities?
Organizational culture is closely related to organizational strategy. Managers who
normally experience problems are those ones who fail to merge organizational
culture to their strategies.

Organizational culture related to employees behaviorOrganizational culture can be tackled in three realms; these are;
behavior and artifacts values assumptions and beliefs
All the above elements should be understood by managers and implemented inorder to influence and affect organizational culture.
Corporate communicationIt is essential to remember that any particular form of organizational culture isaffected by the way employees, employers and shareholders communicate to eachother. Organizational culture is reflected in the manner communication is madewithin the firm. Corporate communication normally refers to the way companiesdistribute or disseminate their information either externally or internally.Internal communication will refer to the way employees share information withintheir organization and also the way suppliers, partners and investors will shareknowledge with the company. Leaders should Endeavour to create organizationalcultures in which employees represent the best image of the company. (Brown,1995)
Decision makingDecision making processes are also ways in which organizational culture can betransformed thus changing employees behavior and competitive advantage.Organizations where employees are; confused about their enumeration systemsor those ones where employees' job description contracts always come in late orthose ones where new employees are never recruited on time, may have problemswith employees behavior hence service delivery.
MotivationMotivation can be seen as way of influencing employee's behavior in such a waythat it will lead to positive results within the organization. This is one of the mostinstrumental factors in the process of affecting employees behavior and henceorganizational culture.

The impact of modern movies on employeesbehavior in the context of movies:
Here are some movies which have impact on employees behavior in the
organizations. These movies described that how much employees behavior is
important in the organizations. Through employees behavior organizations can
increase their employee performance, enhance productivity increase organization
performance and increase market share.
So now these movies are:
1) 300:
300 may seem like a bloody action movie, but it's also a lesson in creating a
formidable and fearsome business.
The story resembles what an entrepreneur often faces when competing against abig corporation. It also offers some insight into what it takes to be an effective

leader, inspire employees and create a recognizable brand. And, yes, this film canbe ugly, but that's sometimes the nature of the business world.
Business Lesson No. 1: Your CEO needs to be a strong leader.
King Leonidas is as resilient as they come, in both the film and the actualhistorical battle that took place in 480 B.C. between 300 soldiers of Sparta,Greece and the Persian army. Although Leonidas is a warrior, he treats his familyand friends as equals. His wife, the queen, is a partner, and he's smart enough tosolicit her advice when it comes to business matters.
Business Lesson No. 2: Train your employees and foster a culturethat promotes loyalty.
The Spartans had a grim but effective process for making sure their society onlycontained healthy children. To put it mildly, their organization only accepted thebest and brightest employees, who were trained and molded into effective killing
machines.
Business Lesson No. 3: You need to have a strong brand.Leonidas is no fool. He knows that his 300 men and several hundred more Athenian soldiers who tag along can't completely destroy the Persian army, which outnumbers the Spartan force at least 1,000 to one. But he figures that ifthe Spartans live up to their reputation by ruthlessly and efficiently killing thePersians, the enemy might flee. In other words, Leonidas saw the Spartans as abrand.
Leonidas is an early marketer, fully understanding the power of words and
images. When Leonidas and his men literally build a wall of corpses they knowtheir enemy will see, it's an advertising message to the rest of the Persian soldiersthat come their way: The Spartans are a company of men you don't want toencounter. They clearly hope the message will spread by word of mouth.
Later, the Spartan CEO tells his competitor, Xerxes, "The world will know thatfree men stood against a tyrant, that few stood against many, and before this battle was over, that even a god-king can bleed." And because Leonidasrecognizes how important it is for the general public to understand the Spartans'unique brand of power and will, he sends a messenger back to Sparta to tell thetale of their fight.
2) THE GODFATHER, PART I & II
Never dishonor those who helped you.
Henry Ford once said, Integrity is crucial for business success once you canfake that, youve got it made. That may have worked for him, but in todaysworld one of the most valuable things in business is your reputation. When

someone helps you out, or stands up for you, thank him. You owe him one, evenif he is too decent to tell you that. If you dishonor that person, others will takenote. They will know that if they do business with you, they might very well beyour next victim, and will steer clear of you.
Come with friendship, not with dollar bills.Business is all about relationships. A man with all the money in the world willstill be unhappy without someone to share it. This is why men close deals on golfcourses, in cigar bars, and over a meal. This form of bonding ensures that even ifa different person offers a better price, you will still go with the guy you trustedand spent leisure time with.
Watch your back.
As in anything where there are limited resources, there will always be people whosay one thing to you and do another. The corporate ladder is not climbed without
stepping on others heads. Know your friends and your enemies, and avoidputting yourself in a situation where you can be harmed.
Dont discuss business at the dinner table.
A big thing in the mafia was not discussing business at the table. Give your familya break from business talk during the most important bonding time dinner. Many studies have also found the psychological effect on kids always hearingparents discuss business is rather negative. Kids can become worried about thefuture, think money is the only thing that matters, or lose interest in talking tothe folks. So keep your work in your office.
Its not personal, its business. While seemingly at odds with the second lesson, we are actually speaking hereabout how you should view decisions. If you get passed up for a promotion, itprobably isnt personal it just made more sense from a business perspective foryour superior to do so. If your longtime client leaves and you didnt do anythingwrong, thank him for his long business and move on its not personal, and itdoesnt make any sense to waste time in misery over it. Also, if you have to makethe decision, you need to emotionally detach yourself from it to make sure itmakes the best business sense.
3) HIGH NOONAs a manager, you will invariably face situations in which your resources - both
monetary and human - seem inadequate. In some cases, as inHigh Noon, you
might find the spirit of your people, rather than their abilities, to be the thing
that's lacking. InHigh Noon, on the other hand, Gary Cooper finds he's taken a
job in which he's ultimately expected to do it all, relieving his bosses, the

townspeople, of any responsibility for peace and safety in their community. Oh
sure, they're on board when there's no trouble; but when trouble does arise and
those Miller boys are coming to get Coop, he's suddenly standing all alone with
everyone else saying "not my job, man." At the end of the movie, Coop throws
down his medal - his badge - in disgust. No one ever said being boss was easy.
4) THE EFFICIENCY EXPERT
The Efficiency Expertis set in Australia in the 1960s. The movie works on several
levels: as a coming of age story about a young worker, the getting of wisdom by
an industrial patriarch, the getting of different wisdom by a hard-nosed
consultant. While these elements add to the overall appeal of this little-known
Australian movie, its great strengths lie in its articulation of problems facing
modern businesses and their employees in the wake of changing markets.
The commentary explores Ball's failure to empower his employees by instilling in
them a sense of control over their own destiny. Ball's Moccasins is even more
paternal and anachronistic in its management style than is Other People's
Money's New England Wire & Cable. In Ball's case, there's no need to worry
about takeover because there will soon be nothing left. Closure, not new
management, awaits the company unless something happens fast. The
commentary discusses the roles and techniques used by productivity consultants,
comparing and contrasting the applications of these techniques at Ball's and
Duramax.
It also presents lessons based on Ball's product lines, its focus on product instead
of customers; Mr. Ball's misunderstanding of his stewardship responsibilities and
the problems of succession in a small family firm.

Wallace complains that the reforms aren't being adhered to and tells Ball he must
enforce them. He then confronts Ball over the financial information he has
received, noting that Ball has been selling off assets to protect the business and
the workers.
5) EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH
As the movie progresses it shows how two people who are completely opposite
will stop at nothing to reach their goals. Its truly sad that people are willing to
leave everything they loved just for selfish ambitions. Zach is willing to leave his
friends in the dust while Vince unknowingly is willing to give away free grocercies
due to his own arrogance and his desire in being the employee of the month 18
times.
Employee of the month is a 2006 American comedy film directed byGreg
Coolidge, written by Don Calame, Chris Conroy, and Coolidge, and starringDane
Cook, Jessica Simpsonand Dax Shepard. The main plot revolves around two
shop employees (portrayed by Cook and Shepard) who compete for the affection
of their newest co-worker.
Anybody who has ever visited, or better yet worked in, an American box store
(e.g. Walmart, K-Mart), will instantly recognize Employee of the Month (2006)
as a comedy set in a common American workplace. It is the story of Zach Bradley,
a box boy at Super Club, who goes through his work with negligible interest in his
work or his company. On the other hand is Vince Downey, a head cashier who
has won the last 17 Employee of the Month awards, and is committed to
winning it once more so he can join the Hall of Fame and win a new car.
Just when you think Vince is a winner and Zach is a loser, enter Amy- a new
cashier transferring from another Super Club who has a reputation for dating
only Employee of the Month awardees. Boy-meets-girl, and Vince and Zach
become competitors for the award. After many twists and turns, Zach wins the
award (as well as Amy).
The movie is a fantastic example of the role of motivation in influencing

as the reason/s for engaging in a specific behavior. According to one theory,
people can be either motivated by external (extrinsic motivation) or
internal (intrinsic motivation) reasons.
In the movie, Zach could care less about extrinsic rewards such as the Employee
of the Month award and the new car, while Vince is attracted to these external
rewards. However, Amys entry changes things- Zach is attracted to her and is
now intrinsically motivated to become the Employee of the Month so she would
date him.
6) ROCKET SINGH
Lesson: 1 Dream Big yet Be Simple
Test: Principles of Life (Honesty, Integrity etc.) vs. Principle of Business (Boss)
Question is that what to choose?
Summary: Life is cyclical. So be patience and stick to the principle values of life
(To be honest, humble, dedicated, sincere etc.) In case of Rocket Singh, his good
character gives him way to 360 degree turning to his upside down world, and
made his career right side up.
Lesson 2: Present movement is the right time to act upon.
Test: When to take first step? What to do?
Summary: To sum up i would like to quote Warren Buffets words. He said that
I always knew I was going to be rich. I dont think I ever doubted it for a minute.
Lesson: 3 Everyone is important. Everyone is born with Great Potential.
Test: To form a company you need a crew, who could be they?
Summary: Even Zero has value if kept it at the right place and at the right time.It magically multiplies the value.
Lesson: 4 make your Crew member Responsible & Valuable
Test: To form a company you need a crew, who could be they? What kind of
profile is given to them?

Harpreet Singh Bedi (Ranbir Kapoor) is a mediocre student with big dreams of
making big bucks. So what does a chap who is not an engineer or doctor do to
make money? Sales! Selling things to people who dont need those things is an art
that fascinates Harpreet. He starts his work with whole heartedly.
He started his business with strong thought that I am successful, here in film he
executed suddenly during a phone call lead to buy computers. As if he has fully
established business. Then gradually with words and action he developed his
business.
7) CORPORATE
Corporate is about the vicious circle of ambition in the private sector, and how
human emotions and life have no significance in it.
Corporate is based on the cola war that raged between two soft drink giants in the
county around two years back. The plot revolves around the way in which both
soft drink companies use NGOs, the media and politicians to their own
advantage. There are many scenes which bear a striking resemblance to incidents
that actually happened at that time.
This film takes a deep insight in the mindset of these powerful people and
attempts to find out what makes them tick. It explores the nexus between the
corporate world and the political; and follows the trail of sex and corruption that
hides behind a glittering and glassy exterior.
Given the fact that its a serious film and has an undercurrent of tension all
through, the goings-on tend to get slightly heavy towards the second half. Iftrimmed slightly, it should only prove advantageous.
The film has all the potential to carve a niche for itself.
Although Corporate is a well intended movie that deals with a subject that hasnt
often been told in Hindi films, but the movie eventually talks about the same
business tactics and manipulations that even a layman might be aware of.

Let it happen automatically in life.
2. Freedom to Life- Life is beautiful
Dont die before the actual death
Live every moment to the fullest as if today is the last day Life is gifted to humankind to live
Live & Live happily towards happiness no shortcuts to excellence
3. Passion leads to Excellence
When your hobby becomes your profession, the passion becomes your
profession
You will be able to lead up to excellence in life
Satisfaction, Joy, Pleasure & love will be the outcome of the passion Following your passion for years, you will surely become somebody one
day
4. Learning is very simple-Never stop
Be humble
Teachers do fail, Learners never fail
Learning is never complicate or difficult
Learning is always possible whatever rule you apply
5. Pressure at head
Current education system is developing pressure on students head
University intelligence is useful & making some impact in the life , but it
cannot be at the cost of life
6. Life is management of emotions & not optimization of intelligence
Memory and regular study have definite value and it always helps you in
leading a life. You are able to survive even if you can make some mark in the path of the
life.
With artificial intelligence, you can survive & win but you cannot prove
yourself genius.
Therefore, in this process genius dies in you
7. Necessity is mother of inventionImpact of modern movies on employees behavior 18

Necessity creates pressure and forces you to invent something or to make
it happen or to use your potentiality.
Aamir Khan in this film, 3 idiots, is able to prove in the film by using
vacuum pump at the last moment.
