Separate all the pieces of MDF by gentlybreaking them apart at the tabs.

Carefully remove any rough edges with acraft knife and use a low grade sandpaperto smooth back any rough or unevenedges if required.

Since MDF expands when painted, it isrecommended that you sand back thetabs of each sheet so that they fit into thecut out slots easier.

Using Red Kaisercolour, paint each pieceof MDF, ensuring that both sides and alledges are covered with an even spread ofpaint.

For best results apply at least two coatsof paint to your project as MDF has a highabsorption level. This will ensure that arich bright colour is maintained.

Using a strong wood work glue put youradvent calendar together. Ensure that thetwo longest pieces are placed at the topand base of the frame.

Adhere the extra long thin piece of MDFto the bottom of the calendar to give it aflat base.

Leave your project to dry and keep itsecure by holding it together using largerubber bands or clamps.

The drawers come flat packed and alreadyhave folding lines scored into them. Cut24 strips from a selection of papers. Eachpiece of paper should be cut into 18cm x4cm strips.

Adhere one to each of the boxes, ensuringthat where they join is at the back.

(If desired you can tape the corners ofeach box to keep it secure, before layeringit with paper).

Carefully cut away the half circle tabsfrom the front of each box.

Paint or ink the die cut chipboardnumbers found in your kit in colours thatmatch your selected paper choice.

Add a coat of Kindy Glitz or dimensionalmagic to the coloured numbers if desired.Adhere these numbers to each drawer.

Further decorate your drawers bydoodling around the front edges and adda little glitter for some extra sparkle.

Randomly place the drawers into the slotsof the calendar’s frame.

Paint a couple of Christmas flourishes incolours that match your papers.

Once they have dried give them a coat ofKindy Glitz and sprinkle them with glitterto add a lit tle sparkle.

Further decorate them by sticking onsome rhinestones.

Scrapbook a small 8x8” layout with aphoto and attach to the centre of thecalendar’s frame.

Carefully cut baubles out from yourselected paper and ‘hang’ them fromthe top of the calendar’s frame using therhinestone strips.

Do not remove the rhinestone strips fromthe acetate with the exception of a smallpiece cut from the bottom to adhere tothe bauble and one cut from the top tohang from the tip of the frame.
