In Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, 600 ha plantation in departmental mode &
627.085 ha in JFMC mode has been done in last three years.
Forest Department is motivating JFMC and has provided technical inputs and
G d Pl i M i l f NGood Planting Material from Nursery.
Protection of plantation from grazing and fire was done by members of respective
JFMC’s.
Insufficient funds to start SHG (Only 1.10 lacks). The amount should be at least
Rs. 5.00 lacks per SHG.
Insufficient money for P.O.L. & maintenance of JICA vehicles as area is not
compactcompact.
Staff has to travel approximately 190 kms to reach one Khirkiya Bragadhiya
JFMC, therefore, more funds are required for their residence, travel &
transportation.
SUGGESTIONS :Need to have a Government order for imparting training to SHG’s by the differentdepartments like Horticulture Animal husbandry Handicraft and Poultry farmingdepartments like Horticulture, Animal husbandry, Handicraft and Poultry farming.
IGA experts are required throughout the project time as they are good helping hands.
Some special training should be given like -
1. Eco tourism training (Catering, House keeping)
2. Banana Farming (Tissue culture method).
3. Mushroom cultivation and food Preservation training etc.3. Mushroom cultivation and food Preservation training etc.
To develop a SHG under the project, Rs. 1.10 lack is insufficient. There is a need to increase
this amount up to Rs 5 lacks.
