Grading Procedures

GPA

▪ The GPA (Grade Point

Average) will be based on the

final grade earned in a class

▪ The final grade is an average

of marking period & exams

results

MP 1 = 22%

MP 2 = 22%

MP 3 = 22%

MP 4 = 22%

Final = 12%

Pass/Fail Option

▪ Students may elect to take one

course a year on a Pass/Fail basis

(can not be a required NJCCS

course)

▪ Pass/Fail must be selected prior to

the first day of school for that course

▪ Grades of P and/or F will be a part

of the permanent academic record

▪ Interested students should see their

counselor for more information

▪ Students may Audit a class prior to

the first day of class (can not be a

July 22, 2016 = last day to make changes

Once schedules are released

● Call to make an appointment

● Contact Counseling Services for:

● Correction of an incomplete or incorrect schedule

● Fulfilling district and/or state of New Jersey graduation requirements

● Alteration of a schedule due to failure of a course

● Alteration of a schedule as a result of summer school

● A total of 120 credits are required to graduate from FHS.

● Students must take two years of US History and one of World History.

● Discrete Math counts as one of the four math classes you must pass.

● Four years of PE and health are required.
