    esti plesni festival Front@ je sestavljen iz zelo razlinih umetnikihdogodkov. Program vkljuuje ples, kot ga vidi oko kamere, plesnoposeganje v javni prostor, ustvarjanje na ulici, ples besed v poeziji,

    pregled plesnih programov zasnovanih za Evropsko prestolnicokulture 2012, predstavitev mladih plesalcev, plesne delavnice inizbor izjemnih predstav ter pogovorov z njihovimi ustvarjalci.Festival Front@ je mesto razlinih sreevanj, zato smo e posebejponosni na program, ki omogoa sreevanje prebivalcev mestaMurska Sobota s tujci, gledalcev z umetniki, plesa s poezijo,videa in lma s plesom, uencev z vrstniki od drugod, nakljunihmimoidoih s plesalci, ki ustvarjajo na ulici, mladih plesalcevz uveljavljenimi kolegi, teajnikov s pedagogi in e bi lahko

    nateval. im ve je razlinih sreevanj in zblievanj med gosti,obiskovalci festivala in prebivalci mesta, tem blije smo bistvufestivala. Prav zato smo se odloili, da programa ne delimo ve naglavni in spremljevalni del, saj ima vsak festivalski dogodek enakopomembno vlogo pri vzpodbujanju k sporazumevanju skozi ples.Veseli smo nove gledalike dvorane v Murski Soboti, v kateri sebodo odvijale predstave, hkrati pa elimo vzpostaviti povezavo meddogajanjem v tej imenitni stavbi in ivljenjem v mestu. Ples se boodvijal tudi na odprtem odru, v videu na fasadi gledalia, na uliciter na prehodih za pece. V sodelovanju z razlinimi kulturnimi

    organizacijami iz Murske Sobote in partnerji iz tujine smo ustvariliprogram, ki plesa ne zapira v ozke kroge poznavalcev temvevzpodbuja odprtost in stik mednarodnega vrhunskega ustvarjanjas im irim obinstvom. Ples je lahko tudi orodje in vzpodbuda zabolj odprt dialog med razlinimi drubenimi skupinami.

    The sixth edition of the Front@ Festival comprises a number ofdifferent art events. The programme includes dance as seen throughthe eye of the camera, dance interventions into the public space,on-the-street creation, the dance of words in poetry, an overview ofdance events programmed for the European Capital of Culture 2012,presentation of young dancers, dance workshops, and a selection

    of outstanding performances followed by discussions with theirmakers.The Front@ Festival is a meeting place of different stories. TheFront@ team takes special pride in the festivals programme whichmakes possible that Murska Sobotas inhabitants meet with thepeople from abroad, that the viewers meet with the artists, videoand lm with dance, students with their peers from elsewhere,accidental passers-by with the dancers dancing on the street, youngdancers with their established collegues, workshoppers with the

    pedagogues, and so on. The more the guests of the festival, itsvisitors, and the citys inhabitants come together, the closer weare to the essence of the festival. Precisely for this reason we havedecided to no longer separate its programme to the main and theaccompanying programme, because each of the festivals eventshas an equally important role in the process of encouraging forcommunication through dance.Front@ is bidding a warm welcome to the new theatre hall inMurska Sobota, where the festivals performances will take place,with which we aim to establish a connection between the events

    in this notable building and the life of the city. We will also have achance to see dance on the open stage, in the videos projected onthe theatres walls, on the street, and on pedestrian crossroads. TheFront@ team has designed a programme, together with differentcultural organisations from Murska Sobota and the partners fromabroad, which does not enclose dance into the narrow circles ofconnoisseurs, but encourages openness, establishing connectionsbetween top-notch makers and the widest possible audience.Dance can also be a tool and a motivation for a more open dialogue

    between different social groups.

    Ivan Landzhev (1986) je bolgarski pesnik in pisatelj. Diplomiral je iz

    lozoje na Univerzi v Soji. Leta 2009 je prejel bolgarsko pesnikonagrado Vesselin Hanchev, leto pozneje pa je bil njegov pesnikiprvenec nominiran za najbolj priznano bolgarsko pesniko nagradoIvana Nikolova. Pesmi, eseje in kratke zgodbe objavlja v tevilnihbolgarskih literarnih revijah in asopisih. Poleg pisanja scenarijev zatelevizijo se ukvarja tudi z glasbo in ahom.

    Fabrizio Dall Aglio (1955) je avtor petih pesnikih zbirk, od katerihsta zadnji dve Hic et nunc in Laltra luna prevedeni tudi v panino.Nekaj pesmi iz zbirke Hic et nunc je v prevodu Gaperja Maleja ebilo objavljenih v reviji Poetikon. Fabrizio ivi v pokrajini Emilija in vFirencah, kjer dela kot zalonik.

    Ann Cotten (1982) je nemka pesnica z amerikimi koreninami. Pri

    petih letih se je s stari z Iowe preselila na Dunaj, kjer je leta 2006diplomirala iz konkretne poezije. Istega leta se je zaela udeleevatidunajskih pesnikih slamov, leto pozneje pa je pri zalobi Suhrkampizdala svojo prvo pesniko zbirko Fremdwrterbuchsonnette. Danesivi med Dunajem in Berlinom, kjer objavlja svojo poezijo v literarnihrevijah in antologijah.

    Andrej Rozman Roza (1955) je pesnik, dramatik in igralec, prejemnik

    nagrade Preernovega sklada za literaturo. Leta 1981 je ustanovilGledalie Ane Monro in z njim leta 1990 v Sloveniji zael z daneszelo razirjenimi in priljubljenimi tekmovanji v gledaliki improvizaciji.Marca 2003 je ustanovil Rozinteater, v katerem sam ali s soigralciuprizarja lastna besedila. Pie parodine in komine pesmi, pravljice ingledalike komedije za otroke ter odrasle, predeluje klasina besedilaza druge medije, jih prestavlja v sodobnost ali preprosto prevaja.

    Ivan Landzhev (1986) is a Bulgarian poet and writer. He graduatedfrom Soa University with a Bachelors degree in Philosophy. He wasthe winner of the National Poetry Competition Vesselin Hanchev

    in 2009. In 2010, his rst book of poetry was nominated for themost renowned Bulgarian poetry award Ivan Nikolov NationalPoetry Award. His poems, essays, and short stories are publishedin numerous Bulgarian literary journals, lifestyle magazines, andnewspapers. He works as a screenwriter for television and hisinterests include music and chess.

    Fabrizio DallAglio (1955) is the author of ve poetry collections,the last two Hic et nunc and Laltra luna are translated into Spanish.Recently some poems from Hic et nunc have been also translatedinto Slovenian by Gaper Malej for the magazine Poetikon. He lives inthe Emilia region and in Florence, where he works as a publisher.

    Ann Cotten (1982) is a German poet of American descent. At theage of ve, she moved with her parents from Iowa to Vienna, whereshe graduated in 2006 with a thesis on Concrete Poetry. She rstemerged as a poet at Viennese poetry slams and in 2007 publishedher rst collection of poetry Fremdwrterbuchsonnette at SuhrkampPublishing. She is publishing her works in anthologies and literary

    journals. Ann Cotten lives and works in Vienna and Berlin.

    Andrej Rozman Roza (1955) is a poet, dramatist, songwriter, andactor, the recipient of the Preeren Foundation Award for literature.In 1981, Roza established Ana Monro Theatre, which in 1990launched theatre improvisation competitions, which are nowadaysextremely wide-spread and popular in Slovenia. In 2003, he foundedRozinteater which stages exclusively his own texts. He writesparodies and humorous songs, fairytales and theatre comedies forchildren and adults, remakes of classical texts for different media and

    contemporary contexts, or simply translates.

    In the performance Your Majesties, translator and choreographerMarta Navaridas presents President Obamas Nobel Lecture, heldin 2009 in Oslo. The performer Alexander Deutinger recites thelegendary speech of the President of the United States of Americaand in doing so revives a piece of world history. In a skillful as well

    as entertaining deconstruction of the original lecture, Deutinger andNavaridas plant choreographic material onto the text and in doing so

    manage to introduce new layers of meaning, which ultimately pointout the absurdity of some of the original content of the lecture - anonly partly logical treatise on the necessity of war.

    In Susanna Wallins Night Practice, the seven dancers fromCoventrys Kombat Breakers are seen hanging out on a oodlitfootball pitch at night. There is no coach to be seen and the lmexplores the undirected energy that comes from being able to do

    whatever you want. Shot on a pitch in the middle of the night inCoventry, Night Practice combines the structure of meticuloustraining with simple magical wonder. Night Practice is the 2008winner of Best Short Film at Diba, Digital Barcelona Film Festival, andthe winner of Best Screen Choreography Under Five Minutes at thecompetition dancescreen, organized my International Music + MediaCentre IMZ.

    vizualne umetnosti in pisanja na Goldsmiths University. Trenutnoivi v Londonu, kjer snema lme za televizijo pa tudi lme neodvisneprodukcije. Njena dela so predstavili in nagradili na tevilnihmednarodnih festivalih. Nedavno je dobila naroilo za snemanjedveh lmov pri anglekem Arts Council, ki sta trenutno na stopnjipredprodukcije.

    Susanna Wallin graduated from London College of Printing in 2001with a BA in Film and Video and continued to do a Masters in Visual

    Art and Writing at Goldsmiths University in 2003. Living in London,she makes lms for broadcast as well as independent short lms.Her works have been presented and awarded at many internationallm festivals. She recently received two new lm commissions byArts Council England, South East both of which are currently in pre-production.

    Alexander Deutinger je tudiral na Univerzi Antona Brucknerjav Linzu v Avstriji. Kot hini umetnik je med drugimi sodeloval zImPulsTanzem z Dunaja, s CCL Linz in D.ID Dance-Identity, Avstrija.Prav tako je sodeloval s tevilnimi mednarodnimi koreogra, svojedelo pa je med drugim predstavil v Tanzquartieru na Dunaju, v Escena

    Contemporanea v Madridu, v okviru Evropske kulturne prestolniceLinz 09 ter na festivalu Kampnagel v Hamburgu. Bil je prejemniktipendije DanceWeb 2007 in nagrade BestOFFStyria 2010.Marta Navaridas je tudirala na ArtEZ College of Art v Arnhemuin na AHK Theaterschool v Amsterdamu. Je soustanoviteljicamednarodnega kolektiva FINGERSIX. Kot plesalka in koreogranjasodeluje s tevilnimi ustvarjalci, svoja avtorska dela prikazuje namednarodnih festivalih in prizoriih. Njen koreografski prvenecPoglej ju zdaj je dvakrat dobil prvo nagrado na tekmovanjih v Linzu

    in Bilbau. Leta 2010 je prejela tipendijo programa DanceWeb ternagrado BestOFFStyria.

    Alexander Deutinger studied at Anton Bruckner University in Linz,Austria. He was Artist-in-Residence at ImPulsTanz, at CCL Linz, atEspacio de Creacin Azala, Vitoria, and at D.ID Dance-Identity, amongothers. As a performer, he has been working with many internationalchoreographers. He has performed, amongst others, at TanzquartierWien, Escena Contemporanea Madrid, in the framework of CulturalCapital Linz 09, and at Kampnagel Hamburg. He received the

    DanceWeb Scholarship in 2007 and the BestOFFStyria Awards 2010.

    Marta Navaridas studied at ArtEZ College of Art Arnhem and at HKATheaterschool of Amsterdam. She is co-founder of the internationalcollective FINGERSIX. As a dancer and choreographer, she hascollaborated with numerous dance makers, while her works havebeen presented at numerous international festivals and venues. Her

    debut as a dance maker Look at them now! was awarded the rstprize in choreographic competitions in Linz and Bilbao. She receivedthe DanceWeb Scholarship 2010 and the BestOFFStyria Award 2010.

    Kaja Janji je leta 2003 konala umetniko gimnazijo, smer sodobniples, v Ljubljani in v letu 2006 diplomirala na akademiji SEAD vSalzburgu. Kot plesalka je sodelovala s koreografoma GregorjemLutkom in Rosano Hribar v predstavah Kanon in telo in Izplei me,

    prosim! ter z Matjaem Fariem v predstavah Srh in Pustite otroke kmeni. Leta 2009 je kot gostja skupine EKG sodelovala v predstavahrtano Bojana Jablanovca in Surovo Claudie de Serpa Soares. Zasolo Izganjanje tebe ljubezen moja je na festivalu koreografskih

    miniatur v Beogradu prejela nagrado obinstva in nagrado AleksandraIzrailovskega.

    Kaja Janji graduated from the Ljubljana Art Secondary School,module contemporary dance, in 2003 and from the Academy SEAD in

    Salzburg in 2006. As a dancer, she worked with the choreographersRosana Hribar and Gregor Lutek in the performances Canon andthe Body and Dance Me Out, Please! and with Matja Fari in theperformances Shiver and Let the Children Come to Me. As a guest ofthe Ljubljana-based En Knap Group, she has also collaborated withthe theatre director Bojan Jablanovec in the piece Cut Out and withClaudia de Serpa Soares in Raw. Her solo Exorcism of You My Lovereceived the Aleksander Izrailovski Award and Audience Award at theInternational Festival of Choreographic Miniatures in Belgrade.

    PINA is a feature-length dance lm in 3D with the ensemble ofthe Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, featuring the unique andinspiring art of the great German choreographer, who died in thesummer of 2009. The legendary lmmaker Wim Wenders takesthe audience on a sensual, visually stunning journey of discoveryinto a new dimension: straight onto the stage with the legendaryTanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch ensemble, he follows thedancers out of the theatre into the city and the surrounding areas ofWuppertal - the place, which for 35 years was the home and centrefor Pina Bauschs creativity. The lm, one of the rst European3D movies ever, includes, in addition to excerpts from the fourproductions of Caf Mller, Le Sacre du printemps, Vollmond, andKontakthof, carefully selected archive footage of Pina Bausch at

    Tekmovanje mladih plesnih ustvarjalcev OPUS 1 plesna miniaturav organizaciji Javnega sklada RS za kulturne dejavnosti (JSKD) potekavsako leto v Slovenskem ljudskem gledaliu v Celju. Ta edinstvena

    prireditev spodbuja plesno ustvarjalnost, odkriva mlade talente,gledalce pa z izbranimi kreacijami navduuje z neposrednostjo inbogastvom plesnih izpovedi. Kakovost plesnih miniatur in plesnaizraznost ter tehnika mladih plesalcev se iz leta v leto zviuje, kar

    je odraz odlinega dela mentorjev in s tem prispevka k razvojuslovenskega sodobnega plesa.

    OPUS 1 vsako leto razpie drugo temo. Tema letonjega Opusa jeFuzija. Beseda fuzija pomeni spojitev, zdruitev, zlitje, spajanje,zdruevanje razlinih elementov. Sodobni ples je e sam po

    sebi art of fusion, saj je njegova najvidneja lastnost nenehnospreminjanje iskanje novih oblik, tem in novih gibanj. Umetnost jezmeraj obutljiva na socialne in politine spremembe in zrcali as, vkaterem ivimo. Danes v asu globalizacije in velikih kolonizacij serazlini pristopi, slogi naini, ustva prepletajo in uporabljajo prvinedrugih z namenom izraanja in kritinega razumevanja resninosti.Letonja tema je spodbudila fuzijo zdruevanje in spajanje mordana prvi pogled nezdruljivih elementov v neko novo obliko, obutek,sporoilo.

    Competition of young dancers OPUS 1 dance miniature, organisedby the Public Fund for Cultural Activities of the Republic of Slovenia,is held annually in Slovene Peoples Theatre (SLG) Celje. This uniqueevent stimulates dance creativity, discovers young talents, andfascinates the viewers with mature creations and honesty, simplicity,

    and richness of dance expressions. The quality of dance miniaturesas well as the expression and technique of young dancers aregrowing from year to year, which also reects the excellent work ofthe mentors and the rapid development of contemporary dance inSlovenia.

    Every year a different theme is set for the competition. This yearsOPUS 1 theme is Fusion. The word connotes uniting, integrating,merging, melding, fusing of different elements. Contemporarydance is in itself already an art of fusion, its most visible trait beingcontinual change, the search for new forms, themes, and movements.Art is responsive to social and political changes, reecting the timesin which we live. Today, in the time of globalisation and increasingcolonialism, different approaches, styles, modes, and emotions areintertwined, using the elements of the others to express and criticallyunderstand reality. This years theme motivated a fusion integrationand merging of seemingly incompatible elements into a new form,sensation, and message.

    Predstavo Kathakbox zaznamujeta utrip in energija sodobne VelikeBritanije, ki ju skupina Sonie Sabri utelea v novi plesni formi: vurbanem Kathak plesu. Kathakbox zdruuje eleganco in energinostindijskega klasinega plesa Kathak z ritmi in rimami hip-hopkulture. V predstavi se zapleteni ritmi tolkal prepletajo z beatboxom

    (ustvarjanje zvokov, ritma in glasbe s telesom), besedna virtuoznost

    t. i. Kavitta (izvajalec tradicionalnega Kathakija, igar ritminapoezija presenetljivo spominja na sodobni rap) pa ustvarja ubrana

    Predstavitev plesnega programa v okviru EPK 2012 / Presenta-tion of dance programmes in the frame of ECOC 2012

    Na okrogli mizi bodo predstavljeni programi, ki bodo v letu Evropske

    prestolnice kulture 2012 potekali v Mariboru in partnerskih mestihter v portugalskem Guimaraesu, ki v letu 2012 prav tako nosinaslov Evropska kulturna prestolnica. Predstavitev je namenjenacelovitejemu pregledu plesnega programa, zasnovanega za EPK,primerjavi programov med obema prestolnicama kulture, izmenjavi

    informacij med producenti in snovalci programov ter predstavitvi

    Zelena lu je koreografska situacija, ki izrablja minimalistinoformo prometne singnalizacije, da nam lahko v trenutnosti

    nekega prehodnega mestnega vogala spregovori o sodobnem

    plesu, koreograji in telesih v njih. Lahko pa je preprosto nekajneobiajnega, kar popestri izrabljeno rutino naih mestnih poti.

    Plesalka in koreogranja Mateja Buar je bila lanica ljubljanskegabaletnega ansambla v SNG Opera in balet, leta 1986 se je prikljuilaPlesnemu Teatru Ljubljana, konala tudij biologije na Biotehnikifakulteti v Ljubljani in na zaetku 90. let zaela ustvarjati svojsodobnoplesni opus, ki se pogosto spogleduje s sodobnimi vizualnimi

    umetnostmi. Za njeno delo, ki s svojo irino, konsistenco inkompleksnostjo predstavlja enega najpomembnejih koreografskih

    Predstava SPIN si kot izhodie postavlja vpraanje o obvladovanjustvarnosti, ki je v sodobnem svetu vedno bolj medijsko posredovana.

    e elimo vsaj deloma obvladovati neizreeno, neslino in nevidno,ki uokvirjajo nae zaznavanje in razumevanje sveta, moramo vsajdelno ozavestiti mehanizme, s katerimi pridobljene informacije

    obdelujemo, oziroma razumeti naine, kako so te skonstruirane. SPINse ukvarja s strategijami propagande, t. i. think tanki in drugimi

    tovarnami odnosov z javnostmi, ki nam ponujajo poenostavljene

    in varne predstave o svetu. Predstava ne uprizarja trenutnih

    politinih dogodkov, ampak na oder postavlja naine za razumevanjemehanizmov sodobne politike, ki temeljijo predvsem na ustvarjanju

    Dancer and choreographer Mateja Buar was a member of the balletensemble of the Slovene National Opera and Ballet in Ljubljana. In1986, she joined Dance Theatre Ljubljana, completed her biologystudies at the Ljubljana Biotechnical Faculty, and in the beginningof the 90s started to work in the eld of contemporary dance as anindependent maker. Her opus is often marked with the elements of

    contemporary visual arts. Representing one of the most importantchoreographic opuses of the past two decades on account of itswideness, consistency, and complexity, her work reveals an in-depththinking of virtual, schematic, notional, or factual spaces and dance,

    which it makes perceptible.

    The experimental dance lm Threesoloists is an offshoot of the danceproject Third Short Programme which dealt with the perception ofdance in two different contexts: in a live, theatre situation and indance for lm. Considering the distinct temporalities of live danceperformance and lm, Omerzu and Rukavina opted for a radicalchoice: they made a dance lm using only a stills camera. Made of30,000 edited stills, the dance in Threesoloists sets out to encounterevents specic to urban exteriors, the temporal uidity of which iscounterweighted by the stills camera.

    Kmalu zatem se je kot plesalka pridruila skupini Philippa Decouja,kjer je osem let delala tudi kot asistentka koreografa. Leta 2001 se

    je preselila nazaj na Hrvako in tam ustanovila produkcijski zavodMARMOT.

    Croatian dancer and choreographer Irma Omerzo studied dance atthe Centre Nationale de Danse Contemporaine in Angers, France.

    She later joined Philippe Decous company as a dancer andassistant to the choreographer for eight years. In 2001, she movedback to Croatia and formed her own production centre calledMARMOT.

    Teme, ki jih odpira najnoveja predstava skupine Liquid LoftGovorea glava, se dotikajo aktualne medijske realnosti spletnihsocialnih omreij (samo)opredeljevanje, identikacija, (samo)razkrivanje. Performerja sta neke vrste poskusna zajka, ki seznajdeta v aparatu twitter/tube/facebook, iz katerega vznikajoabsurdni liki, ob katerih pomislimo, da so ravnokar pobegnili iz

    dvorane ogledal. V virtuozni satiri o posledicah nenadnega poveanja

    komunikacije performerja v ivo na odru sestavljata besedilneskulpture kot plesno formo, ob tem pa vedno znova vzpostavljata

    novo podobo njiju samih preko spletne kamere.

    Talking Head, the most recent work by Liquid Loft, deals withthe identication and self-exposure of our current social mediaonline world. As test subjects, performers are placed into atwittertubeandfacebook apparatus, in which absurd charactersemerge that look as if they had just escaped from a hall of mirrors.

    In a virtuosic satire on the consequences of the current ination ofcommunication, the performers are constructing, direct and live onstage, text sculptures as a form of dance and an ever-new image ofthemselves via webcam.

    nagrad, med drugim tudi zlatega leva za najboljo predstavo naBenekem bienalu leta 2007.

    Founded in 2005 by choreographer Chris Haring together withmusician Andreas Berger, dancer Stephanie Cumming, anddramaturgue Thomas Jelinek, Liquid Loft constantly interconnectperformances and installation in contemporary dance directly withother forms of contemporary art, in order to create a cohesiveall-embracing piece of art. Their idiosyncratic visual and formallanguage, their distinctive acoustic stage-sets and professional dance

    production earned Liquid Loft international recognition and awardslike the Golden Lion for Best Performance at the 2007 Biennale inVenice.

    Produkcija SVGL je bila letos posveena koreogranji Kseniji Hribar.Dijaki in mentorji so rekonstruirali dve Ksenijini predstavi: Alpsko

    sanjarjenje in Nostalgijo. Poleg predstave je bilo celo leto obeleenoz razlinimi dogodki, povezanimi s Ksenijo Hribar (razstava, soli 4.letnikov itd.). Sama predstava je bila izjemno pozitivno sprejetamed strokovnjaki (med njimi tudi originalna zasedba rekonstruiranih

    predstav) in med irim obinstvom. Za dogodek v sklopu Fronte

    bomo podobno kot lani izvedli prostorski poseg, pri tem pa bo letos

    kljuno vpraanje, kako razline materiale (od predstave do razstave)ter teme Ksenijinega dela in asa, v katerem je delovala (vrhunec v80. in na zaetku 90.), umestiti v javni prostor Murske Sobote.

    This year, the nal production of the Art High School Ljubljana wasdedicated to the memory of the founder of professional Slovenecontemporary dance Ksenija Hribar. The students and their mentorsreconstructed two Hribars performances: Alpine Daydreaming and

    Nostalgia. Besides the performance, numerous events related toHribars work took place during the year: an exhibition, solos of 4thyear students, etc. The performances were extremely well receivedboth among the critics (among them also the original casts of

    reconstructed performances) and the wider public. Like last year, aspatial intervention will be prepared in the frame of Front@, whichwill this year attempt to tackle the question of how to position thedifferent materials (from the performance to the exhibition) and

    themes of Hribars work and time (middle of 80s and beginning of90s) into Murska Sobotas public space.

    active in the eld of elementary and secondary dance educationsince 1954. With its programme based on a unique fusion ofmovement principles of Rudolf Laban and J. Dalcroze, the schooltrains performers, choreographers, and pedagogues in the area of

    contemporary dance, rhythmic, and movement rehabilitation fora number of years.     performances varying from huge spectacular shows to progressivecontemporary dance pieces. The company received many Hungarian

    awards for its work, among others also the Best ChoreographerAward delivered by the Hungarian Dancers Association.

    Kaj se zgodi, e ples premaknemo iz odmaknjenega zaprtegaprostora gledalike dvorane na mestno ulico, prikazovanje rezultatapa nadomestimo z vpogledom v nastajanje plesne kompozicije?Letonji Dance Communication Lab je zasnovan kot laboratorij, ki

    preizkua komuniciranje plesa z mestom in njegovimi prebivalci.Plesni ustvarjalci improvizirajo v javnih prostorih in na ulici sredidelovnega dneva in sooajo svoje ustvarjanje z nakljunimimimoidoimi. Javni prostor raziskujejo s plesom in odkrivajo razmerjamed gibom in arhitekturo, pred mimoidoe pa na ogled postavljajoplesni ustvarjalni proces. Takna neposredna izkunja komunikacijemed gledalcem in umetnikom brez vnaprejnje priprave, takogledalca kot nastopajoega, pomeni posebno preizkuanje plesain razvozlavanje ugank njegovega razumevanja. Gre za laboratorij,

    v katerem se ne preizkua samo sodelovanje umetnikov, temve

    se odpirajo nove monosti za razmislek o konvenciji uprizarjanja spreseganjem odmaknjenosti umetnosti od ivljenja mesta. Namestouitka pasivnega opazovanja pri nakljunem opazovalcu stopi vospredje vpraanje. Kaj se dogaja? Za kaj gre?

    What happens when dance is brought out from a removed closedtheatre space to the street? And what if the presentation of a result isreplaced with an insight into the creation of dance composition?

    This years Dance Communication Lab is designed as a laboratorythat puts to the test the communicative potential of dance in relation

    to the city and its inhabitants. Dancers improvise on the street andin public spaces in the middle of the working day, bringing out theircreativity before accidental passers-by. Discovering public spacethrough dance and revealing the relation between movement andarchitecture, they put to display the creative process of makingdance. Experiencing the communication between the viewer andthe artist in such a direct way without prior preparation, of both the

    viewer and the performer, presents a special challenge to the dancemedium as such as well as to the unravelling of its meanings. Theevent is a laboratory which not only puts to the test the cooperationbetween artists, but by bringing art closer to the citys life also opensup new possibilities for a reection on performance conventions.Instead of the pleasure of passive observation, the questions Whatsgoing on? Whats it about? are put to the foreground.

    So ljudje, ki tiho delajo in se tiho poslovijo. Tako kot Manfred Biskupiz Gradianske v Avstriji, ki je marsikje oral ledino. V soboto, 27.novembra 2010, je umrl na letaliu Tegel v Berlinu.In prav letalie odlino simbolizira navduenje, mednarodnost,lozofski pogled loveka, ki si je vedno postavljal visoke idealeter jih pretvarjal v velike oz. velikopotezne ideje in narte. Deela

    Gradianska je izgubila moa, ki se ni bal izzivov umetnosti in intele-ktualnega dela, pa eprav na tem obrobnem delu drave, ki zagotovopotrebuje ljudi prav takega kova.

    Manfred Biskup se je rodil v Riedlingsdorfu, nato pa je tudiral poslov-no ekonomijo na Dunaju ter socialno in kulturno antropologijo na

    Univerzi v Leuvenu. Dolgo je delal kot raziskovalec v Mednarodnemraziskovalnem centru za drubene vede (ISSC) na Dunaju, opravljalraziskovalne naloge za UNESCO, objavljal lanke s podroja kul-turnega in informacijskega posredovanja ter kot gostujoi predavateljpredaval na Univerzi na Dunaju.

    Velik preskok v njegovi profesionalni karieri se je zgodil leta 1982, koje soustanovil skupino Tanztheater Wien. Tri leta pozneje, ko se je toplesno gledalie dodobra uveljavilo, je pustil redno slubo pri ISSCin se posvetil samo delu v Tanztheatru. Svoje dramaturko ustvar-

    janje na podroju plesa je nadaljeval v gledaliu v Heidelbergu in vdunajski operi Volksoper.

    Leta 2006 se je enako angairan vrnil v domovino in skupaj z Liz Kingna Dunaju ustanovil plesni center za sodobni ples D.ID / Dance Iden-tity ter s tem dal gradianski kulturni krajini pomembno spodbudo.

    Kot soorganizator Gradianskih plesnih dni, tevilnih plesnih produk-cij in diskusij je bil nenehni tvorec novih idej in s tem izzivov tako zagradianske umetnike kot za obinstvo.

The Burgenland province has lost a man who wasntafraid of the challenges of art or of intellectual work though he livedin the peripheral part of the country where people of this kidney aresurely needed.Born in Riedlingsdorf, Austria, Manfred Biskup studied economicsin Vienna and Cultural Anthropology at the Lueven University. Heworked for a number of years as a researcher for ISSC (InternationalSocial Science Research Centre) in Vienna and for UNESCO, pub-lished articles from the eld of cultural and information mediation,

    and taught as a guest lecturer at the Vienna University.Later on his professional career took a rather different path: in 1982he was the co-founder of Tanztheater Wien. Three years later, whenthe theatre was already rmly established, he left his work in socialsciences to devote himself to the work in Tanztheater. He continuedhis work in the area of dance as a dramaturge in the Heidelberg Thea-tre (Germany) and in the Vienna-based Volksoper.In 2006, he returned to his homeland and co-founded together withLiz King a contemporary dance centre D.ID / Dance Identity, which

    gave an important impetus to the local cultural landscape.A co-organiser of dance days, many dance productions, and discus-sions, Manfred Biskup was a man who always came up with newideas and challenges for the Burgenland artists and the audiences.
