Wednesday, December 7, 2016 PechaKucha Understanding the Student Experience: Creatively Digging into Data who paints a vivid story for the audience. The six-minute and forty-second presentations are designed to shed light on the current generation of students, concisely highlight key data points from program evaluations, and illustrate the assessment loop in action for program improvement. After three presentations, participants will have approximately 15 minutes to follow up with the presenters on specific content that sparked their interest or peaked their curiosity! Student affairs specialists, often in collaboration with faculty or staff members and graduate or undergraduate students, provide a brief presentation and take questions to spotlight creative, unique and collaborative programs/initiatives and the assessments, evaluations or research conducted on these. The goal of these colloquiums is to assist participants in better understanding the current Lehigh student, by providing them with data to help shape their perspective of the Lehigh student experience and what it is like to be a student living in our community. Lehigh’s UCPS presents a didactic symposium aimed atincreasing knowledge about the treatment ofsubstance/alcohol use/abuse on college campuses. National data trends are compared to university data.Attention is given to the BASICS treatment program, howUCPS expands this framework, as well as the benefits ofdelivering this treatment in group versus individual formats.
