Johar Foundation aims:
Helping and supporting Talent and Research to unveil hidden potential of the youth of Pakistan.
Holding Conferences & Exhibitions to distribute Johar Awards.
Publishing research articles and books (including Monthly “JOHAR”).
Establishing JOHAR UNIVERSITY as an institution to encourage Research work in Pakistan.
Launching Competitive Research Projects on problems of our country.
Johar Research Fellowships to young scholars.
Qarz-e-Hasna (Interest free loan) to deserving middle class students
RESEARCH INITIATIVES
Bio-gas The dung pollutes the land and groundwater. Dung is significant source of bio-gas.
Therefore, instead pumping the dung to the sea causing damage to environment,
a project has been proposed to produce bio-gas which will ultimately generate
electricity which is short supply in Karachi and other parts of our country
Bio diesel Bio-diesel is a fuel substitute. It is good for engine and has also positive environmental impacts. The biggest
advantage of Bio-diesel for Pakistan is that it is produced from local, renewable resources and it will bring
about a significant reduction in the crude oil import bill of our country.
Other Initiatives Alternative sources of producing electricity i.e. Solar – Wind - Geo-Thermal etc.
A very unique idea to reduce expenditure on petrol/diesel supported by calculations & workings.

Our Vision To create an environment for talented and creative
minds to accomplish their ideas/projects by establishing
a Research Institution known as JOHAR UNIVERSITY
Our Mission To explore and reward talent and research to
unveil hidden potential of youth of Pakistan.
BACKGROUND
Pakistan has been bestowed with talented and highly skilled human capital comprising
mostly of youth. They are full of talent and involved in research in the field of field and can
be pivotal resource to the betterment of our economy and development projects of country.
But owing to non-recognition of their talent and utilizing their services, they are thinking to
move and settle abroad and this has started brain drain at large scale to seek immigration by
individuals with technical skills or knowledge. This is one of the major problem largely
facing Pakistan in recent years. Hardly any country has suffered more from the brain drain
than Pakistan has suffered. Now intelligent individuals prefer to study further abroad and this
is not good thing as Pakistan itself needs those people who are intellectually strong.
One of the reason of above situation is lack of respect of these talented people and providing
opportunities of high technological nature. We have less institutions to cater their needs and
there is no place where their talent can be exposed.
To fill this gap, Johar Foundation has been established to promote, help, and support “Talent
& Research” to unveil hidden potential of youth in Pakistan and committed to provide them
opportunities to encourage them.
For this purpose, it is decided to establish an Research Institution named on a great leader of
Pakistan history Maulana Muhammad Johar i.e. JOHAR UNIVERSITY. This institution will
open its centres in all parts of the country to enrol talented youth to reap their talents and
provide opportunity to accomplish their research projects.
Johar Foundation was established to enlighten the contribution and services of Maulana
Muhammad Johar Maulana. He was the most dynamic and versatile leader of the sub-
continent and the Muslim World.
He at the same time held following characteristics of the highest order:
1. Educationist
2. Poet
3. Journalist
4. Politician
5. Islamic Scholar
6. Philanthropist
7. Freedom Fighter
Besides above qualities, he was an excellent speaker, orator both in English and Urdu. H.G.
Wells said about him
“He had the Heart of Napoleon, the Pen of Macaulay and the Tongue of Berk”
5
The most important facet of his life was as a valiant and dauntless fighter for freedom of
India and Muslim World. The freedom fighter of India was at that time when he spoke to
British Empire and said the following golden words:
“I will not go to a slave a country, Give independence to my country, if you
cannot give freedom, then you will have to give me a place for my grave here”
These historic words were the turning point and ultimately resulted in the shape of Pakistan.
He was the first and only leader of sub-continent Indo-Pak who had shown his courage to
challenge the might of the British on the mass scale and began a large Movement that
shocked and cracked the foundation of British government in India. He died just after above
golden words and buried near the graves of prophets in Jerusalem.
We cannot forget his trial at Khaliqdina Hall where alongwith other four persons including
his elder brother Maulana Shaukat Ali on account of Khilfat Movement. Here we must recall
verse said by his mother ‘BEE AMMAH’
BOLI AMMAH MOHAMMAD ALI KI
JAAN BAITA KHILAT PAY DEY DOU
And then he alongwih others sentenced for two years
at Central Jail Karachi. That is why we say he is
only leader after Quid-e-Azam who can be
remembered with the history of Karachi.
ESTABLISHMENT OF JOHAR FOUNDATION
Keeping in mind his contribution to Pakistan
Movement and Muslim world, ‘JOHAR
FOUNDATION WELFARE ASSOCIATION’ was established to enlighten and make awareness to
the youth about this great personality.

JOHAR DAY CELEBRATIONS:
The contribution of Maulana Muhammad Ali Johar demands us that we should pay tribute to
this great leader who scarified his life to the cause independent estate and challenged the
British government in their own empire.
Therefore, Johar Foundation celebrates JOHAR DAY every year on 4th
January and we
request to the government to celebrate it on official level to memorize and recognize his
services.
AWARENESS ABOUT MAULANA MOHAMMAD ALI JOHAR
Indeed it is also a need today that our youth should know the contribution and services he
made to this sub continent. He is the leader who spent two years in Central Jail, Karachi. He
and his family specially his mother made a great contribution for Khilafat Movement.
Therefore, awareness should be made though any of the following:
MOHAMMAD ALI JOHAR & HAMARA KARACHI
When we say HAMARA KARACHI, then we cannot ignore Maulana Muhammad Ali Johar.
He is the only leader of the sub-continent except Quaid-e-Azam who stayed in Karachi. We
cannot forget his historical trial at Khaliqdina Hall and his stay at Central Jail Karachi.
Therefore, it is our desire that Hamara Karachi festival should be started on 4th
January with
Johar Day celebrations.
Academic syllabus should include a chapter about him.
His picture should also be published among other leaders
while printing on academic books or any other occasions
A Johar Museum and Memorial Hall should be established.
Johar University must be established to pay tribute to his
unforgettable contribution
