Vision for Blended Learning: The University of Colombo will be a centre of excellence of regional and international repute, through effective use of information and communication technologies and human resources to provide high quality learning experiences incorporating physical as well as virtual learning environments and making its courses more accessible, pedagogically sound and learner-centred. Mission for Blended Learning: Blended learning will be systematically integrated in all programs at each faculty, institute and campus of the University of Colombo to create more opportunities for education and provide advisory support for entrepreneurship.

• Foundation In Information Technology (FIT)
• The Foundation in Information Technology (FIT) programme aims at creating computer awareness together with skills in Mathematics and English, in any person who is interested in following an undergraduate programme in ICT or seek employment which requires ICT as a qualification. It is also an alternate qualification for those who do not posses A/L qualifications to enroll into the Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) programme. Applicants can register for the programme at any time of the year. You need to pass the three theory papers to qualify to register for the DIT programme and all papers to qualify for FIT certificate.
• This programme consists of three courses, namely:
