Over the few weeks in which I have had a twitter account, I went from having zero followers and zero followees, to following 53

17 tweets of my own.

• Developing my Professional Learning Network through online mediums such as Twitter has proved itself to be helpful even in these early stages. Through this social media tool I have been able to:

• Connect with professionals currently in the educational field

• Meet and connect with other pre-service teachers

• Become involved in debates and discussions which will become

important to my teaching strategies through this like #edchat

• My Twitter account mainly consists of others studying Education at the University of Alberta, teachers, librarians, technology professionals, and educational based organizations (ex. Alberta Ed, ATA, etc.)
