Case Study: Refurbishment Works to Marlborough Road School, Cardiff

The ProjectProen was engaged to make a suite of refurbishments and improvements to this Cardiff based primary school. Our role was to provide total site project management from outline brief to project hand-over, including scheduling and supervision of all labour, plant and materials. Close liaison with all parties throughout the project ensured the smooth running and safe delivery of this project.

The RemitThe contract included the following major works:

- major structural alterations to enlarge existing classrooms- formation of a new IT charging station and new school SRB office- re-location of disabled toilet facilities- drainage runs and connections for new WCs- upgraded electrical installations - upgrading fire doors to incorporate school colour schemes including fitting of mandatory safety hinge systems - creation of soft play area- installation of exterior fencing- detailed finishings to include suspended ceilings, decoration and both soft and hard flooring

The OutcomeAll works were completed on budget and on time, working to strict timescales during the summer vacation period.
