• Acrylic – High impact resistance, inflexible, can be

re-polished. Acrylic sheet can be line bent, formed & re-polished. Offers greater impact resistance than glass but less than polycarbonate

• Polycarbonate – High impact resistance, semi-flexible, cannot

be re-polished, good chemical resistance, low flammability. Good transparency & approximately half the weight of glass at the same thickness

• Polypropylene – Good heat resistance, mechanical strength &

excellent chemical resistance. Hygienic & impact resistant, particularly at low temperatures

• PVC – Good mechanical strength & abrasion

resistance, poor heat stability. Great for fabrication (can be solvent welded or hot air welded)
