In 2003, DuPont Sustainable Solutions (DSS) collaborated with Suncor—Canada’s leading
integrated energy company—to develop their Journey to Zero program for employee safety.
The Journey to Zero helped to significantly improve the safety performance in Suncor and
became a cornerstone of Suncor’s culture. However, Suncor wished to further improve risk
management in their operations.
