Summary of Previous Public Consultation

• September 2011: report to Full Council confirming repairs will cost £3m and recommending approval to proceed. Decision to spend deferred – rescheduled for October 2011

• Mayor requests both developers present to public before October Council meeting

• In summary, the promenade is our shop window and it needs to be befitting of a leading resort. It plays an important role in our tourism economy which remains extremely weak and vulnerable.
