on Canon Devices

All labels or special paper stocks must be laser rated. For laser labels, the Averybrand is a good choice. Special Paper stocks will be identified as laser/copy ratedmaterial, if you have a question ask your paper supplier and confirm.

Step One (at your desk)This step starts onceyour labels are ready toprint from word,publisher, or anotherprogram.

The first thing you mustdo is select print .

Choose then CanonPrinter. See theexample to the right.

Step TWO (at your desk)Now that you haveselected your printer youwill want to select printerproperties. See it circledon the right.

Please Note: While in theprint driver/#2 to the rightyou can do many thingslike chose paper trays,booklet making, duplex,reduce and enlarge andmuch more. It is like thecopier panel at your PC.

Left click on printer properties

Notice that a new screen appears. Theprinter properties area is where youcan change how your document isprinted. We are going to tell themachine which paper source the labelswill be located.

Step THREE (at your desk)Now we are going to tellthe MFP/Printer that wewill be using labels.

Click on the Paper SourceTab.

Look at the Select by areaand make sure PaperSource is chosen

Lastly, make sure thatMulti-purpose Tray isselected.

Step FOUR (at your desk)Now all we have to do isselect OK

We are then broughtback to the printscreen. Select Print

Now you need to loadthe labels in the multi-purpose tray on theMFD/Printer. Somepeople call this the by-pass tray as well.

Step FIVE (at THE MFD/PRINTER)

The multi-purpose tray on theMFD/Printer is located on theright side of the device. It canopen and close. If closed youmust open it.

Step 1: Make sure the bypassis open

Step 2: Place the labels facedown. (you will not see thelabels.

Step FIVE (at THE MFD/PRINTER)

As soon as your place the labelsface down a screen will appear.Just like the sample on theright.

Make sure to select the size ofpaper. Typically, you will beselecting LTR = Letter. Thesymbol next to LTR illustratesthe position of the paper.

Step SIX (at THE MFD/PRINTER)The next step is to chooseLabels. Then select ok.

The your will press the nextbutton.

Since you have already sentover the print job directly it willpull the labels and print yourjob. If using secure print justrelease the job from the panel.(#2) Most of the devices willhave the labels exit in the toptray of the finisher.
