You Served Our Nation in Its Time of Need. Now Comfort Keepers® is there in your time of need.

If you are a veteran or surviving spouse of a veteran requiring in-home care or assistance in your daily life, you may be eligible to receive additional benefits from the Veterans Administration (VA) or other in-home care assistance programs from the VA hospital system.

How can Comfort Keepers® help?We provide you with individualized assistance to locate resources in your local area that can assist you through the required paperwork and help you reduce potential pension claim delays. Once you become an approved participant in a VA program, Comfort Keepers will provide the quality care and companionship you deserve.

A trustworthy solution where you liveComfort Keepers provides in-home care with the same level of compassion and concern we would provide our own family members. Comfort Keepers carefully screens and trains each of its caregivers, whom we call Comfort Keepers®, to provide the best match for each situation. All Comfort Keepers are bonded, insured, and covered by workers’ compensation.

If you think you may qualify for one of the VA programs, contact your local Comfort Keepers office today, or go to ComfortKeepers.com to locate the office nearest you.

As a Veteran You May Qualify for• Improved pension benefit program• Homemaker/Home health aid program• In-Home respite program

How do I qualify? If you or your spouse served 90 consecutive days of active military duty, at least one of those days during a U.S.-declared war, you’re already partially qualified.

How do I get started? You will need the following documentation:• Original discharge certificate• Marriage certificate (divorce papers from any prior

marriages, if applicable)• Death certificate of the veteran (if applicable)• Social Security number for both the veteran and

spouse

What other qualifications must I meet?VA programs were designed for those who meet specific financial criteria and demonstrate physical need for in-home care. Applicants must present documentation to verify the following:• Total financial assets• Current marital status (if you are the surviving spouse

of a veteran)• Total gross income versus medical deduction• Physical condition
