Tennent Played Host to the Community
Winter was not kind in many ways! In addition to countless snow storms, was the storm which occurred the week of February 3 that left many people in both Warminster and Southampton without power. Warminster Township, along with the American Red Cross, asked the district if William Tennent would act as a “comfort shelter” for the community. The high school was open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on February 6 and Feb-ruary 7 and manned by Centennial School District Administrators and staff. The community was invited to take advantage of a warm place, recharge phones and any other devices, watch the Olympics, and just relax. On Friday, the district supplied busses that traveled through the neighborhoods for families who want to take advantage of Tennent’s hospitality. Coffee, tea, water, and small snacks were provided by the district and information was available for anyone who needed an overnight shelter.

Calendar of Events
The Food Service Department has a policy that
states that students owing more than an established obli-
gation ($25.00 ELEM, $8.00 MS/HS) be provided with a
basic, healthy “snack” in lieu of the full lunch when
these amounts are exceeded. The cafeteria has begun to
enforce this policy and asks that payments are made in a
timely manner.
If you are eligible, free or reduced price lunches are
available by filing an application through the Business
Office of the Centennial School District. You can also
pre-pay for lunch through the “e-Funds for Schools”
system and credit can be immediately applied to the ac-
count. If you have any questions, please contact Ms.
Shannon Stone at 214-441-6000 ext. 11015
