This second course in this series aims to refresh students on the outcomes of the first course and introduce additional areas where potential electrical incidents could occur and training is required. It reinforces the need for electrical workers to be extra careful when working in particular electrical situations. This course addresses the need to eliminate electrical incidents by providing knowledge, raising awareness and reinforcing the need for safe working practices in the industry.

This training course is recognised by the National Electrical and Communication Association of WA.

COURSE DURATIONFull time 1 day.

COURSE REQUIREMENTSApplicants must hold a current WA Unrestricted Electrician’s or Training Licence or equivalent issued in an Australian State or Territory.

Fully enclosed shoes must be worn at all times in CET buildings.

Safety boots/shoes must be worn when working in the workshop.

Refer to the Code of Conduct on the College website www.cet.asn.au for details on dress code. CERTIFICATIONGraduates will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance.

SKILLS AND NATIONAL RECOGNITION The CET Skills Recognition process benefits applicants who have undergone prior learning and recognises competencies obtained outside a formal educational or training environment, gained through life or work experience. Competencies currently held by applicants will be formally assessed against each applicable Unit of Competency and maybe recognised regardless of how, when and where they were achieved. Skills Recognition is an assessment process and a cost recovery charge will apply.

CET accepts and provides credit to learners for units of competency and/or modules (unless licensing or regulatory requirements prevent this) where these are evidenced by either AQF certification documentation issued by any other RTO or AQF authorised issuing organisation or an authenticated VET transcript issued by the Registrar.
