PRESS RELEASE: For Immediate Release March 21, 2011 JazzGarage, MetalGarage, RockGarage, BluesGarage Summer Music CampsMusicGarage.Org expands non-profit Utah Arts Alliance music day camps this summer in Salt Lake City
Salt Lake City, UT – Pre-enrollment is open through May 1, 2001 for the Utah Arts Alliance’s jazz, blues, metal or rockmusic day camps this summer at MusicGarage.Org, 2191 South 300 West in Salt Lake City. For youth traveling bybus or Trax, the 9,000 sq ft facility is ½ block away from the 2100 South Trax Station. By car, MusicGarage.Org isconvenient to all Salt Lake, Davis and Summit County locations at the intersection of I-80 and I-15.
The music camp staff includes some of Utah’s top musicians, after-school music program graduates and university-level music students. MusicGarage.Org summer camps are open to intermediate and advanced musical youth whowant to meet like-minded kids to rehearse, HAVE FUN and perform in a band!
The MusicGarage.Org rock and jazz camps run from 12 - 5 pm Monday - Friday in five 45-minute blocks:
12:00 pm - Rehearsal1:00 pm - Showmanship/Stagecraft - Audio & Recording Basics - Band Values - Music Business2:00 pm - Rehearsal & Staff Jam3:00 pm - Vocal/Instrument Coaching - "Speed Learning" - Musicianship - Music & The Law4:00 pm - Rehearsal
On each Friday, musicians stay for a sound check, dinner and performance at 7 pm. The camp cost is based on a$10/hour scale = $300 with a $50 discount if enrolled before May 1, 2011. Musicians can enroll in multiple summercamps or combine the camps with MusicGarage’s regular once-weekly summer session for additional savings.

For those seeking a less intensive summer experience, there is also the regular MusicGarage.Org once-weekly,
eleven-week Summer Season of the year-round program (no contract) that meets on either Tuesday or Thursdayevenings from 5-7 pm. Cost for that program is on a sliding fee scale from $100-$150/month based on income.
