Women’s Digital Centers Supporting women’s economic empowerment through digital skills

SDG 1 (target1.2) & SDG 4 (target 4.3)

The “Women’s Digital Centers” program was launched by the Orange Foundation in 2015. It aims to empower women in difficulty by training them on the use of digital tools during six months to a year. Depending on the profile of the participants in each country, the Women’s Digital Centers provide literacy training, financial education and entrepreneurial skills development as well as training on use of digital equipment and software. At the end of each session, a certificate is provided to the participants who successfully complete the training. As part of this program, the local Orange foundations or subsidiaries work with local NGOs or associations and with public institutions. At the centers, Orange employee volunteers share their knowledge and skills with the women.
