Barbecues, sports and camping near the Great Lakes is how I spent my Michigan summer. This summer was a busy one and

flew by much too fast.

Hopefully you all have taken time to enjoy the weather and the relaxation that summer had to offer. Fall is around the corner,

school is back in session, sports practices fill my evenings; and it has become a time of reflection.

Now I have a child starting high school, when I feel as though she just started kindergarten! Where did the time go? This has

made me stop and reflect on the past year. What have I completed and what more do I want to achieve? These thoughts are

what made me reflect on ALL that has been accomplished and where I am with my goals, both personal and professional.

Many conversations have taken place in our house as the great ascent to high school has begun. “What do you want to accom-

plish in your high school years?” The response was a simple one: “I want to graduate!” While this is a simple goal, it still needs a

plan and objectives on how this will be achieved.

The same is true for much of what we do in our own lives. How will you continue your education, reach your goals and achieve

success?

I encourage you all to take a moment and reflect on where you are and where you want to be. Will you be a mentor or seeking a

mentor to achieve your success?

As our meetings resume I am looking forward to seeing everyone.

I hope you all have had a great summer!
