ABOUT THE CASTSteffy Jolin (Aida) is thrilled to be back at CM! She was last seen as Michell Morris in their recent production of Dreamgirls. Steffy graduated from Adelphi University with a BS in Music/Vocal Performance. Favorite credits include Sister Act (Sister Mary Robert/Deloris U.S.), In the Heights (Vanessa, Carla), Dreamgirls (Lorell Robinson), American Idiot(Extraordinary Girl), Once on this Island (Ti Moune), Jekyll and Hyde (Lucy Harris), All Shook Up (Lorraine), Hairspray (Lil Inez, Dynamite, Motormouth Maybelle), Legally Blonde (Pilar), Seussical (Gertrude/Bird Girl), Ragtime (Sarah). Steffy would like to thank her family and friends for all their love and support!

Bobby Peterson (Radames) is thrilled to return to the stage at the Noel S. Ruiz Theatre, where he was seen last year starring as Huey Calhoun in their production of Memphis. REGIONAL: Jekyll & Hyde (Swing), Grease (Swing), Gypsy (Swing) at the John W. Engeman Theater, Tonight at 8:30 at Guild Hall (starring Blythe Danner, directed by Tony Walton). Past CM credits: Bonnie and Clyde (Clyde), White Christmas (Phil Davis), West Side Story (Riff), The Little Mermaid (Prince Eric), Singin’ In The Rain (Cosmo Brown), Into The Woods (Jack). Other favorite credits: Saturday Night Fever (Tony Manero) at Theater Three, 42nd Street (Billy Lawlor), Xanadu (Sonny), Hair (Claude). Bobby has also accompanied for Rufus Wainwright, Gateway Playhouse, and for a musical theater workshop taught by Julie Andrews at Stony Brook Southampton. He is the music director and organist at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in East Hampton, and received his Masters and B.A. degrees in performance at Stony Brook University.

Marielle Greguski (Amneris) is ecstatic to be returning to the CMPAC stage in AIDA! She was last seen as Nellie in Jekyll and Hyde. Some other credits include, Lady of the Lake (Spamalot), Elizabeth Benning (Young Frankenstein), Missy Lee (Marvelous Wonderettes: Dream On), and Rona Lisa Paretti (25th Annual Spelling Bee) Regional: The Witch (Into the Woods) and Mrs. Fezziwig u/s (A Christmas Carol the Musical) Many thanks to Micheal, Ashley, Matt and Karen for all their hard work. And to Jackie, I love you my angel face.

Carl Tese (Zoser) is making his 18 appearance on the CM stage! Notable CM credits include JCS (Pilate), Bonnie and Clyde (Preacher), Mary Poppins (Mr. Banks), Young Frankenstein (Igor), and Spamalot (Patsy). Many thanks to Michael, Ashley and Matt for allowing me to get my evil on in this roll! Much love to the talented cast of AIDA, my family but most importantly to Karen, the Stage Manager of my life!

Van-Leon Whitaker (Amonarso) is elated to return to CM's stage and to be joining such a talented and exuberant cast. Notable CM credits include The Full Monty ( Horse), Dreamgirls (Marty), Ragtime ( Coalhouse), and Showboat ( Joe). Other favorite roles include Flick in Violet, Tom Robinson in To Kill A Mockingbird, Jim in Big River, and Queeqeg in Moby Dick Rehearsed.

Barry Johnson (Pharoah) Has performed in venues from Manhattan to Long Island, including ten years in Geraldine Fitzgerald's Everyman Acting Company and as a member of La Mama E.T.C. At CMPAC, he's been fortunate to appear in over 40 featured roles, most recently in Bonnie & Clyde and Shrank in West Side Story.

Steven C. Jackson (Mereb) is excited to make his community theater debut at CM in AIDA! Special thanks to God, family, friends, and the wonderful team at CM. “If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be.” -Maya Angelou

Alicia Bagley (Nehebka) is thrilled to be working with CMPAC again for AIDA. Some of her favorite credits include: Memphis, Ensemble (CMPAC); Norm Lewis Wishes You A Very Swingin' Christmas, Featured Guest (54 Below); Dreamgirls, Effie (Broadhollow Theater). Gabrielle Farah (Amneris US/Ensemble)is delighted to be back on stage at The Noel S. Ruiz Theatre, where she last played Patty Simcox in Grease. Favorite credits include Bring It On (Eva), Memphis (Teenager 2), West Side Story (Minnie), Urinetown (Little Becky), Legally Blonde (Margot), The Drowsy Chaperone (Janet), and A Chorus Line (Val). Gabrielle would like to thank Donna, her voice teacher, for her never ending support. She would also like to thank Michael, Matt, Ashley, and Karen for this opportunity- it is truly an honor.

Mikey Marmann (Radames US/Ensemble) is so excited to be back on the CM stage! He was last seen as Ted in Bonnie & Clyde, but you may have caught him filling in as Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid, or as Doody in Grease. Some other CM credits include Randall in Bring it On! and Peter in Jesus Christ Superstar. Mikey is a senior at Molloy College/CAP21, pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre. Shaina Stroh (Nehebka US/Ensemble) is excited to be returning to the CM stage in this incredible production. Past CM credits include Ragtime (Sarah’s Friend), Hairspray (Matron/ Dynamite), Rent (Bag Lady). Other favorite credits include Next to Normal (Diana), Avenue Q (Gary Coleman), The Wild Party (Kate) and many more. She would like to thank the wonderful cast and crew for this experience and her family and friends for their continuous love and support!

Brielle Brook (Ensemble) is excited to be making her CM debut in AIDA! Favorite credits include Rent (Maureen), [title of show] (Heidi), and Next to Normal (Director). She thanks her mom for letting her see Rent when she was 6 years old and her whole family for nurturing her love of theatre ever since. Much love to Mom, Dad, Farah, Melanie and Sammi.

Folei Browne (Ensemble) Originally from Baltimore, MD, Folei Browne grew up singing gospel music in her church and has expanded her repertoire over the years to incorporate jazz, classical, and musical theatre. Folei has had amazing opportunities in productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar (Mary Magdalene) and Hair (Company). A recent graduate of Nassau Community College Music department program, she plans on pursing more opportunities in musical theatre on the Long Island/NYC circuit. Jekyll & Hyde was her first production at CM, which she enjoyed being a part of as well as working with the CM production team. Most of all, Folei is dedicated to using her musical abilities to honor God and inspire others as well.

David DiMarzo (Ensemble) is happy to be returning to the CM stage, after last being seen as the Beast in this winter's production of Beauty and the Beast. Some of his favorite past credits include, Rent (Collins), Anything Goes (Lord Evelyn Oakleigh), Grease (Sonny), and Godspell (Judas). Other CM credits include Saturday Night Fever (Joey), Urinetown (Lockstock), Memphis, Hair, Spamalot, and many more. He would like to thank Michael, Matt, Ashley and Karen for this opportunity. Break a leg to the cast and production team on this beautiful production!

Darnell Dunkley (Ensemble) is a 27 year old from West Babylon, NY. In HS, he enjoyed playing sports and joined chorus where he performed in his 1st musical. After high school, he enlisted in the US Army where he spent 5 years as an analyst. After the military, through a friend he was introduced to the Cultural Arts Playhouse where he has performed in multiple shows including Hairspray, Ragtime, In The Heights, and most recently, Wedding Singer. He is currently attending Adelphi University as a Psychology major. He hopes to work with and help veterans one day and dreams of opening up his own clinic. His hobbies include dancing, video games, and staying active. Fun facts: his favorite movie is A Goofy Movie, his idol is Michael Jackson, and he is deathly afraid of spiders.

Paul Edme (Ensemble) is excited to be a part of such an amazing piece of art. Past credits include Memphis (Male Dancer), In the Heights (Graffiti Pete), I Didn’t Know My Own Strength (Jimmy), Fences (Cory), How To Succeed … (Mr. Jenkins) and The Color Purple (Harpo). Paul is happy to be reunited on stage with very talented friends and loved ones. He thanks the cast and crew for a great experience and his family and friends for their support. Much Love.

Ashanti Graham (Ensemble) is performing AIDA for the first time! Following Dreamgirls (Little Albert/Ensemble), this will be his second theatre experience with CM. His favorite roles include Benny (In the Heights) and Beast (Beauty and the Beast).

Chante Hooks (Ensemble) is back at it again. AIDA is her third production with CM after tearing down the house as Ethel in Memphis the Musical and one of the marvelous Stepp Sisters in Dreamgirls. Her other credits include Jesus Christ Superstar (ensemble), In the Heights (dancer/ensemble), Schoolhouse Rock (self) and Hair: The American Tribal Rock-Love Musical (ensemble). She is grateful to be a part of another amazing production with so many extremely talented people that are now like family.

Jacqueline Hughes (Ensemble) is thrilled to return to the CM stage where she was last seen in Jekyll & Hyde (Newsboy). Jacqueline broke ground this past summer performing in Hair: The American Tribal Love Rock Musical as traditionally male tribe leader George Berger. (Continued on Next Page)

Katie Johnson (Ensemble) is thrilled to be in her first show with CM! Favorite past roles include Amber in Hairspray, Sandy in Grease, Columbia in The Rocky Horror Show, Frieda in Carrie, and a Harem Girl in Sideshow. She has also been a featured dancer in a variety of shows, some all time favorites include Saturday Night Fever, In The Heights, All Shook Up and Footloose.

Danielle Khoury (Ensemble) is excited to make her second appearance on the CM stage this year. Previous credits include A Chorus Line (Maggie/Kristine), Footloose (Ariel Moore), Catch Me if You Can (Brenda Strong) and many more. Danielle would like to thank her family and friends for their unconditional love and support.

Sheldon McCall (Ensemble) is excited to be returning to the CMPAC stage. He was previously seen in Dreamgirls (Ensemble) and contributed to the production staff as the Makeup Artist. His past CM show was Memphis (Ensemble). He wishes all the best to his cast and crew!

Michael T. Mehmet (Director) is excited to be directing our Season 41 Closer - AIDA. He last Directed Saturday Night Fever and In The Heights here on The Noel S. Ruiz Theatre Stage. Michael also serves as the Executive Director to the CM Performing Arts Center and has been a member of CM for almost 20 years as a Director, Set Designer, Scenic Artist, House Manager and former Board Member. Michael just recently retired after 30 year as a NYC school administrator. The last ten years of his career were spent as Principal of a performing arts high school in Manhattan. He was actually one of the school leaders who partnered with the Roundabout Theatre Company to turn around this failing school. With his training in education and his passion for theatre arts he was able to lead this school to become a top performing NYC school of choice with a waiting list of applicants.

Matthew W. Surico (Music Director) is beyond thrilled to be working on AIDA. He has been the Resident Music Director at CM for 3 years. Favorite credits include Beauty and the Beast, Jekyll and Hyde, Dreamgirls, Memphis, West Side Story, The Wedding Singer, A Christmas Carol, South Pacific, A Year with Frog and Toad, Bye Bye Birdie, RENT, Into the Woods, Fiddler on the Roof and the LI Premiere of Bring It On: The Musical. Matthew has also written My Christmas Elf (Music/Lyrics), Sue Ology and the (Possibly) Haunted House (Music/Lyrics) and Assumptions (Book/Music/Lyrics). Thanks to Michael, Ashley, Karen and the entire cast, crew & pit for making this an unforgettable experience. Love always to Kev.

Ashley Nicastro (Choreographer) is truly blessed to have the opportunity to choreograph such a beautiful show with such a beautiful cast! She recently choreographed Jekyll and Hyde on the CM stage and was seen over the summer as Stephanie Mangano in Saturday Night Fever. Favorite choreography credits include Bye Bye Birdie, The Addams Family, All Shook Up, Saturday Night Fever, and American Idiot. Huge thanks to Michael, Matt, and Karen for all of their support! All of my love to Matt, who has taught me what it is to be in love and have that love returned. For Bobbi.

Ronald Green III (Costumer) has served as the Resident Costume Designer at CMPAC for the past ten years. Past design credits include Beauty and the Beast, Jekyll and Hyde, Dreamgirls, Saturday Night Fever, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Grease, Sister Act, Memphis, White Christmas, Spamalot, Avenue Q, West Side Story, The Little Mermaid, The Wedding Singer, The Music Man, A Christmas Carol, The Addams Family, Bonnie & Clyde and more. He was also the recipient of the 2013 Broadway World Award for his costume for Hairspray. Costume Design for LI premieres include Jane Eyre, The Wild Party, Spring Awakening, Lombardi, Xanadu, Murder Ballad, Marvelous Wonderettes (Winter and Caps and Gowns) and also the NY regional premiere of Boy From Oz.
